2026 Week #13 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 03/23/25 - Sunday 03/29/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.
Pretty much the same goal as before. Just try to manage without too much damage.
Had to go to the doctor Friday to review the blood test results. My blood sugar is way too high. The doctor gave me some pills to try and I'm supposed to go back in a few months to see if they made any difference. Hopefully they will because I'll have to do injections if they don't. Not something I want to do. I found an article on blood sugar. Probably one I've read before. Get plenty of rest and limit stress are two things that can lower it. I'm bombarded with stress on a daily basis. Getting enough fiber can help too so I'm going to get some liquid fiber when I can afford it.
I apparently have a new neighbor lady mad at me. She lives across from my dog's friends and I've only talked to her twice but her mother came up behind me in line at the grocery store yesterday and said her daughter was mad at me and won't talk to me. I inquired as to why because I've only spoken to the daughter twice. Apparently it's because I haven't gotten her a job. I promised nothing along those lines. I said where I worked and that I didn't know what jobs were available. I knew there was none in the department I worked in and there's qualifications that must be met first. I said something along the lines that the company's main website should have a link to the job listings and that was that. The daughter looked like she was in her twenties so navigating the Internet should be fairly easy for her.
It's supposed to cool down a bit next week so the dog will be able to go out again in the afternoons/evenings. She'll like that. Found a shedding brush that may help. It's a little expensive but it doesn't pull on the dog's coat which is what she doesn't like so it may be worth it in the long run. If I can get enough of her undercoat off with that brush, she'll feel cooler when the hot weather really starts.
I've got a budgeting app that keeps yelling at me about expenses. That's why I'd like to have something that can help me generate extra money through dividends or something like that. What I get through the games helps a bit but it's only a little bit here and there. It's nothing really substantial despite what the ads say. I'd love to pay 60% of my bills if not a hundred percent. That would take away some stress. Then maybe I could work on the other areas.
@IsayUncle I just realized that your taglist has shrunk significantly. Not as many people wish to be motivated or held accountable?
On another note, I decided to look at reviews for pet adoption agencies again. Mainly because I'm bored at work and I've already looked at a few online shops and filled my lists with better food and supplement choices (I hope) and home items. Also found a cute denim ballcap with an applique of a cat reading a book. Hoping to get that before my opthamologist appointment next week. They moved me to a different office. Once I looked at the maps and the surrounding area, I knew where it was. I've never actually been there but having jobs all over town has helped. I thought it was way on the northeast side but it's not. It says there's significant delays on one of the buses due to road construction I'm assuming but there's significant delays on the route to the office that's closer to me because of road construction so I don't think the distance really matters.
Anyways, I tried looking to see if there were any shelters that might be close to where I will be going. Not sure why because with my eyes dilated, I wouldn't be much good. That's why I was looking at hats--to cut down the glare of the sun. There weren't any shelters close so I looked at some yelp reviews for the shelter I had requested information from. With over 500 reviews, the rating was only 3.7 which isn't all that strong. However, I found one that is closer to me than the other place and their rating was 4.3. They also have a sweet calico that's 2yrs old and gets along with dogs. I'm hoping in mid-April I can go down there and browse around (have a carrier saved on my pet store site). Hopefully she will still be there but if not, I'm sure I could find a new friend for the dog. She still wants to play with the stray cats where we live. The adoption fee is $100 which isn't too bad. I just hope I can afford it next month. If not, then perhaps May. I don't want to push going down there too far back because I have to consider the heat. The buses have air conditioning but it doesn't work sometimes. But, if the dog can have a playmate before the summer, that'll help keep her busy since she can't go outside in the afternoons when it starts getting over a hundred (actually, she shouldn't be going out when it's over ninety).
@Enthenia
Hi Enthenia, just a quick heelo... and well wishes for the day. Out of time lately from overload with work.. good or bad ??? idk. Anyway have a good day! 🤗
@IsayUncle Thanks. I hope your day was substantial.
Dealing with a bit of pain today. My left leg has been hurting from the knee down. Tried stretching but I guess I can't stretch the area that's hurting. Usually a sort of ballet pose gets the area that feels tight but not this time. There was something else I was going to put down but I don't remember what it was. I've been moving or trying to move bills over from one account to an online savings account. I don't know if I want to move completely away from my current banker but online ones have a lot less in the way of fees as opposed to traditional ones. Unfortunately, the online account doesn't support a few of my bills because they're local but I was able to set up my Internet bill. May be able to do the phone. I didn't think to look.
There's a new restaurant that's going into the empty lot across from where I walk down to get pet food when I'm at work. Looked at the online menu to see if it would be worth it to me to occassionally go there. No. Everything is high in carbohydrates. Which I figured but I thought they might have salads since it's a sandwich place. The only things that are vegetables on the menu are fries and onion rings. I thought perhaps I might be able to get a grilled cheese on rare occassions because the other sandwich place likes to top their products with spicy things. The only other things close by are a couple coffee shops, some Asian restaurants, a breakfast place, burger joint, sushi, and a local taco place. Sometimes I get the protein box at one of the coffee places. It has meat, cheese, grapes, and some pita bread slices. I don't get overly drained after I have that but it can get expensive.
Clocked in two minutes later than I normally do. Didn't realize what time it was until I glanced at the clock. Last time I checked, I had a good eight minutes to go. Means I have to wait two minutes to clock out this afternoon. Will miss the earlier bus because of that, most likely. A minute or two makes a difference. I got on the computer early to check the grocery ads and to get on the VPN since now I can't do anything that's time clock related until I'm signed on. Nothing really in the grocery ads that I use, unfortunately and that's from looking at both the stores that are near me. I'll have to make do somehow.
I really have nothing else to say and I've probably bored you (and others) by now...
@IsayUncle
my thread is getting loaded with ads
is anyone else having this problem
it is stressing me out
settings keep going back to "allow" after i choose "not to allow'
&*%^$#... i don't need this sh*t!....
I appreciayte the need for monetary gain to maintain a site.... but i have my doubts... sorry if im wrong.
@IsayUncle I think it's something in the website coding. I use duckduckgo as my browser and I have the cookie settings as "do not allow" plus, I have had the pop-up about the cookie settings but I'm still getting the ads. It didn't used to be that way. I understand the reasons for the advertising but it does get annoying. At least the adverts seem to be localized to the right side and bottom. They could be all over the place with random pop-up ads. I rarely look over at the right side (have my windows sized to the way I want them) so it doesn't bother me and I don't see the ones at the bottom.
On another note. Hopefully positive. I got my hat and a RFID blocking wallet ordered. I'd been using a coin purse that I got as a bonus when I ordered by computer bag to keep my cards in but the zipper broke. It lasted quite a few years so I didn't mind replacing it. I had ordered another one but the order got cancelled because I didn't have the money that I thought I'd have when it was due to ship. That's okay because I like the design of this new wallet better. It has a cat on it with a background that is supposed to look like Van Gogh's Starry Night. I was also able to order some books and some water that had also been cancelled from the order.
Then I went to the online healthy store and got some supplements that will help and some food items that were on clearance. Spent about $80 there. I wanted to get the clearance items as soon as I could because they're on clearance so once the stock sells out, that's it. I was already too late for one of the items I had saved for later.
I also set a goal for my online savings account and turned on the automatic saving. I tried to do a deposit but it wasn't letting me but I figured if it will save a bit when I spend from my linked account, that's actually better. Still don't have all my bills accounted for and I have more coming up but at least I was able to get a few things that will help.
