2026 Week #14 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 03/30/25 - Sunday 04/05/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

@IsayUncle
A SHOUT OUT TO @ENTHENIA. 💖
I'm sorry I haven't been able to get to the thread too much. This is my busy time of year after being out of work for couple months in the winter and starting up with some new partners. I am swamped.
You do matter, and even though I can't talk as much as I was, I think you should keep posting, OK.
I know you don't think a lot about those hearts of support, but if I give you a heart of support that means I read what you're going through, but sadly don't have time converse. You do matter And it is important to share.
I hope your week starts off great.
@IsayUncle I forget. Sorry. I clicked it on this one though.
Things are just as screwed up as they ever were. Changed my direct deposit. It doesn't help me right now but if I can pay some of the more pertinent bills first then I can allocate what's left. Still didn't win that weekly $4k. That would have helped a lot but it didn't happen. I still need to pay what I owe to the system that lets me split rent up and the deadline for that is tomorrow. Won't happen, short of a miracle. At least on things like electric, gas and Internet, I have a credit but that won't last forever if I don't put money in to those accounts.
Have to see the opthamologist this week. Hopefully if I have to pay anything, it won't be over $100 because that's all I have on my health savings card. I got an email about a mix-up with my initial amount to that card so I wonder if that's why I only have a hundred right now. Not going to help me if I need to get a new pair of glasses because with my prescription and the lens type (plus frame), they are expensive.
Let's see, I found a cat at a local adoption agency. Hopefully I can go down in a few weeks. The cat may not still be there but maybe I can find another one that would do well. Have to do some reorganizing and cleaning before I get the cat. Also need a new carrier and litter box. Everything seems to cost something and that's my problem. Trying to keep up and somehow have something for the unexpected.
For those with a modicum amount of interest in what goes on in my neck of the woods.
Got the rental app sending me emails about the payment and I still have phone calls from other places. Yes I know. I know what needs to be done and I'd love to have just a mound of rupees, pesos, liras, marks, dolares, whatever type of currency you want to use so I can pay off what's owed and still have something left to survive on.
I do have $12 from my games. Will have more when I decide to convert from some accounts. Not enough to pay anything but enough to get one or two grocery items when I go pick up my package from the drugstore. This will have the hat in it and a book plus some low sugar snacks. That's the other frustrating thing. What I can eat or should be eating, isn't something that can be picked up across the street because most people wouldn't eat it. Actually, what most people eat really isn't healthy. Like I found out one possible reason for why I've been getting so tired after I have breakfast on the weekends. The potatoes. I'd been doing the hashbrown patties because I thought I was overdoing it with the hashbrowns. I had tried the sweet potatoes but those would make me tired too. I know they can be high in carbohydrates but they also have the same ingredient that turkey has--the thing that makes you sleepy if you have too much. I had only been doing one of the patties but apparently even that is too much. I'll have to cut them out entirely. I probably could find an alternative at the healthy grocery store but I'm not able to get there that often and the price would be higher. Getting things that are better for me are more costly but I also have to keep expenses down.
I know I shouldn't complain. Other people here don't have as many choices for groceries as I do. I should be grateful for that. It just gets frustrating, trying to hang on to everything and I have to, for the sake of the dog. She's completely dependent on me as will be the cat whenever I get one again. Yes, there are things I should have done or could have done differently but that doesn't really help now. Been having other issues too. Like my leg and some chest pain but that only seems to be in the morning. I don't sleep enough because of the pain in my legs. Woke up at two something with a cramp in one. Dog was ready to play. I got up to get some water then went back to sleep. Getting water in the middle of the night seems to help a bit. It allows me to stretch my legs a bit longer going from the bedroom to the kitchen even though I have to look out for potential land mines like bones or chew sticks. The dog doesn't pick her things up.
Got 250 more levels to go on a casino game and then I can get $5. The timer's almost finished on it so I'm trying to get it done. Most of these games have a month's limit on it although there are a few sites that use their own game developers so you don't have a time limit. But those usually have a lot of ads. Sometimes one right after another which makes it difficult to take advantage of the time-limited events like earn 2x points in three minutes. You can't make a lot when you're stuck waiting over a minute for ads to finish playing.
I wish I could have a portion of what I'm getting in virtual coins in actual money, but real life doesn't work that way.
I just want to get ahead for once in my life. Perhaps that's too lofty of an aspiration...
In case anyone was wondering what became of me. I'm still here. The internal bleeding in my eye is clearing up. They suggest drops for the blurriness. I have some, just hesitant to use them.
Got criticized at work again. And it wasn't even really a big thing. But how they phrase the emails--and it's not just me. It's everyone. They're demoralizing and almost insulting but the leads are rogue. And they're not really leads. Anyways, I failed to forward five names for further investigation and I'm making "numerous mistakes". Some got forwarded because of possible employers that I wouldn't think needed further investigation. I mean, just because a possible employer is a casino, doesn't mean the person was involved with gambling. The person could have worked for housekeeping, a restaurant, a spa, a retail store, etc.
But because of this latest episode, I took the advice of the single lead who agrees that the emails sent out are rude and derogatory (he mentioned it in a meeting and everyone else was opposed to changing the tone of the emails) and looked at job postings. I sent an inquiry to the hiring manager for one position I could be qualified for because it turned out that I corresponded with her when my department was more involved with wire transfers.
I haven't been more productive in the financial side. Wednesday I fell asleep for almost four hours after returning from the opthalmologist and taking the dog out. Then I had the extreme fatigue over the weekend. I started the higher dose of the samples the doctor gave me. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I was trying to get extra money for groceries. It took me most of the day to get at least $30. I could have made progress yesterday had I not fallen asleep.
But now it's too late to get groceries. Going to have a note on my door tomorrow. If, by some miracle, I can win a decent amount, the financial worries would be less.
If I can change departments, that stress would be less as well. And, it may pay more. The open position I mean.
@Enthenia
Hi Enthenia,
About everything you wrote about you passed two posts. I apologize for not having time for a long conversation.
I do think Sweet potatoes are better regular potatoes but I really like hash browns and regular potatoes too, and I also have a problem with comfort foods making me sleepy.
Leg pains and chest pains are worrisome and very tiering also. i hope they ease up on you.
i hope you get a good cat that doesn't create more stress and expense than it's worth. hard to find good playmates for other pets in the house.
If you get a new position, that would be wonerdful! 😊.
The last time we talked about working from home, You said it wouldn't be good for you because you were not socially adaptable to that type of work but I looked it up and there's a lot of antisocial people that make money from home. Here's a list of some other ideas Think about, if it helps.
Are there any at home computer jobs don't require a lot of
social interaction?
Yes, many remote, low-social-interaction computer jobs allow for solitary,
focused work from home. Top options include data entry specialists,
transcriptionists, medical coders, software developers, technical writers, copy
editors, and graphic designers. These roles generally require minimal verbal
communication and focus on independent, task-oriented work.
Top Low-Interaction Remote Roles
Data Entry Specialist: Involves inputting information into databases with little to no customer interaction.
Transcriptionist: Listening to audio files and converting them into written text.
Medical Coder: Translating healthcare services into codes for billing.
Software Developer/Programmer: Coding, debugging, and developing software independently.
Copy Editor/Proofreader: Reviewing and correcting written content.
Graphic Designer: Creating visual concepts independently.
Technical Writer: Producing technical documentation.
Key Considerations
Minimal Social Interaction: These jobs are ideal for introverts, focusing on task completion rather than meetings or phone calls.
Flexibility: Many roles offer flexible hours, making them suitable for side hustles or part-time work.
Entry-Level Options: Roles like data entry, transcription, and basic editing often require no prior experience.
Platforms for Finding Work: Look for positions on sites like Indeed, FlexJobs, and Ratracerebellion.
These positions typically allow you to work autonomously while managing your own schedule and environment.
Some of these require more training than others and some require very little at all. I think the Medical coder is what my friend did and she made a lot of money but that does take some training. If you're not gonna finish your schooling maybe some training in one of these areas can help help you
@IsayUncle A transcriptionist sounds like something I could do. I could even do that from the library since actually working from home wouldn't work. I'd have to get a new computer for that since my current one doesn't have a working monitor. A new computer would probably be more beneficial since it would be faster and everything. The only concern with that type of job is AI. All the transcripts for the webinars we have to watch for work are done with AI. Yes, there are errors because it goes based off of sound but it can conceivably do the task faster than a person even though a person would most likely be more accurate.
I got a response from the hiring manager for the other department. She remembers me but the position pays less than what I'm currently making and it's a night shift. I don't think I could do that again. I did tell her that if anything else came up in her department to keep me in mind. So I guess for now, I'm still stuck where I'm at. This month, I can't even think about starting my classes again because we're short handed and now they're looking at everything through a microscope and it doesn't matter how perfect I get the reports this month. They'll go out of their way to find an error and blow it out of proportion. This is professional behavior? If I did that to them, I'd be in trouble. Tired of these double standards.
