I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

HEY Y'ALLLL. HAPPY MONDAY! HAVE A SUPER DAY!

@Enthenia (from last weeks thread)

Good morning Enthenia. I got super busy last week. But I did see you were trying very hard to get your license.

I still think it’s not fair, they don’t pay for it.
PLUS…. ALL your personal time to deal with it.
I couldn’t get back to you last week. But I truly hope you resolved it on Friday and don’t have to deal with it this week.

Good luck today Enthenia.

@ Amanda84
 (from last weeks thread)

THAK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE WELL WISHES, and especially THE CAKE, last Friday! I didn’t see it then, but I sure do appreciate it today! You’re awesome, thanks! I hope you have a great week!
Have anice day!💐🌈

@mytwistedsoul
 (from last weeks thread)

I've rolled the skid loader a few times trying to push something over. It was a check your shorts moment that's for sure 😅 Be careful out there! …. YOU TOO… you must be pretty agile, assuming you escaped getting hurt. You said, “a few times”. Practice makes perfect, I guess…. But stop practicing! 😬

I’m not expecting to hear from you while you’re camping with Yogi… I’m jealous (and) happy for you… Have a great time man! Love it! Be good.

@IsayUncle I got it and submitted and everything was good. Had to take a picture of myself (don't like photos but it's required) and it was acceptable. The department in charge of keeping the license information tagged everyone to let them know I was compliant again.

Did keep my day off even though I didn't do what I had wanted to do. Had planned to go to the healthier grocery store but an account I had made a payment on hadn't processed the payment so I didn't have anything extra. I was able to get a few groceries across the street but not as much as I'd hoped. Was going to get the rest Saturday or Sunday but again, the payment on the account is still pending on their end. Slightly frustrating because the dog is completely out of food and, if I don't get my phone bill paid today, I won't be able to get the SMS verifications for work tomorrow.  Still no contest winning notice. That would really help. At least then I could get dog food and the phone bill taken care of. Tried to get extra money from playing games but that process just takes a long time. I meant to try a few surveys but fell asleep a couple times over the weekend. Thursday was bad but I think it was because I walked more than usual.

First, I went over to the pet store to get the dog her sticks (would have gotten food then had I known my payment would be delayed in processing) because of how crowded everything was the day before because of the new restraunt opening up near the pet store. Then at eleven, I walked over to the fingerprinting place to get the fingerprints done. Then I stopped off at a place on the way back to get something to eat (which I had while trying to take care of other things in the office even though I was on my own time) and I walked the mile down to the bus stop in the afternoon.

Later after I took the dog out, I lay on the floor (mainly because my leg was hurting probably from the walking) and I ended up falling asleep. It was close to 11 when I sort of woke up so I went to bed. Didn't eat anything because it was so late. Dog was glad when my alarm went off the next morning and I switched it off and went back to sleep. She knew that I wasn't going anywhere.

I have to do the mile in the mornings again. Found out the cones were up by my first bus stop this morning. They were down for two days last week. And they were blocking off the street near my second bus stop this morning. Fortunately, the bus stopped because they literally blocked it off five minutes before the bus arrived. So tomorrow, I'll have to walk over a mile since I can't wait at that stop. I'll have to leave the apartment, go up to the first cross street with a light, turn left and head towards the next street with a light then walk up to where I can catch the second bus. Hopefully they won't block that stop off for a while because that's the next closest one for me. The third closest is half a mile up the street and there's no traffic light close to it.

However, my immediate concerns are getting dog food and getting the phone bill paid. If one of the gaming accounts didn't have a delayed process in receiving funds, I could have a good portion of the bill taken care of. I have $20 something pending but that's another thing that seems to take forever to process.

Payment finally showed up on my account so I was able to get the phone bill paid. Have enough to get some food at the pet store. Just enough to get by until I can order her a larger size. Can't carry a 40lb bag a mile to the bus stop. Had to resubmit the phone payment though. For some reason it timed out (claimed something was entered wrong) even though when I redid it, it went straight through.

Ahh, that's good.... a little caught up. It's tough keeping our heads above water, so every time we get a breath.... thats good.

Not negating the constant battle, that's pretty tiring! But i'm glad you got your pup some food. 🐶

@IsayUncle she was glad too! I could only do 5lbs (didn't want to pay almost $10 for the same brand but 3lbs more and I think it would have been too much to carry down.) and she got it really late because I couldn't catch the early bus. The next one never showed and the one after that was late. Was nearly five when I got home. Maybe after five. I left the office at 3:23. I suppose I could have taken the other bus but that one was running late too and there would be no guarantee that the second bus would have been on time (the route splite at the cross street that my work is on). That's why I waited.

Had to convince her not to bring her toys out when we took the trash out in the evening. Was fifteen degrees too hot for her. She ran into a little friend as we were walking in the grass so she was able to jump around for a bit. Even though we were in the shade, she was panting which was why I didn't want to take her over to the dog area. She has a low heat tolerance. Seeing her friend got her excited though because she started nipping (which is what her breed does when they get excited) and wanted to play tug with her leash. At that point, I unhooked her and she made her way home. We were close to the apartment anyway.

Was able to order a 15lb bag for her and a couple of other things.

This morning I found out there's a department at my work that keeps track of when you change passwords for applications. I got an email from them about an application that I hadn't changed my password for in over 90 days (I actually haven't used it since it got assigned to me over a year ago).

Just another thing I apparently need to keep track of that doesn't really make sense. It's not a good IT policy to assign permissions to users on an off chance that they may need to use an application at some point in the future because the credentials could get stolen but what do I know?

@IsayUncle Lol! It's been a couple years since the last roll over. I guess I mastered it? 😅 I've learned not to push the equipment past it's limits (hopefully) 😅
Trip was a blast. Dog was great (mostly) he loves fishing... Has to inspect each catch 😁 he was exhausted at the end of each day. So was I tbh. Best I've slept in a while!

TODAY IS A BIG DAY OF CATCH UP!

1. Cook marinating meats this morning.
2. Contact friend about overdue favor. (I hope I don't have to do anything today about that... maybe just get it planned.
3. File completed paperwork. (An easy one)
4. Finish lot.... A Big Deal, which includes cutting down trees. (This lot, is a big deal with great advantages) BUT... working on it has put me in a financial bind.... BUT i have to finish it, to move forward.

The Rest Of The Week.

A. Favors for friends.
B. Set up and try to move shed from out of town to my property.
C. Complete details on small job.
D. Measure and Plan basement job for customer.
E. Try to sell something to get badly needed money for bills.

User Profile: IsayUncle
IsayUncle OP May 13th

My list at the beginning of the week hasn't gotten past item number 4. I'm trying to finish a lot that I started excavating a couple weeks ago. It is taking a lot longer than I thought, but it will be worth it. One of the reasons it's taken longer is because, I keep expanding it and making it a little bit bigger than what I started off with.

I finally got the size to a stopping point but that included taking down some pretty good size trees and stumps. I put so much time into it for the past three days this week that I haven't done anything for household chores.

A seal on my backhoe is starting to leak pretty bad. I already repaired one cylinder during this job. I actually bought an extra seal kit for this cylinder because I saw it was starting to leak. I hope it stays working until I can finish this last corner section so I can get this lot off of my plate.

Many other things have been neglected during this process and in the back of my mind, They're all starting to stress me out. I don't even know what they all are but they're there. I guess the biggest one is my financial bind that I'm in, and me not going to work to make money, clearing this lot out instead. I didn't think it was gonna take this long but it's one of those things that once you get it started, you really wanna finish it because it's not usable until you do.

WITH ALL THAT SAID, It is 5:18AM and I will focus for one hour, to pile all my dishes, pots & pans, and etc into one pile and then start washing them. Perhaps not to finish, but to get started. Also get ready for the day. I want to start working on that lot between 6:30AM - 7:00AM.

If my backhoe does not breakdown, I could finish that lot today.

......... to Simply Say, "My goal is to finish that lot today"...... doesn't express the urgency, nor the reward if accomplished.

User Profile: IsayUncle
IsayUncle OP May 13th

It is 7:00AM and I did NOT get any kitchen work done except make breakfast and more dirty dishes. BUT, I am ready to walk out the door and continue the lot project.

If my equipment does not break down, I may finish this project early enough to get some personal chores done before bedtime.

I hope everyone's day has been going better than mine. Discovered a soaked carpet at 5:30 this morning. Thought it was the upstairs. Nope. Leak in my bathroom. Maintenance showed up as we were coming back from the dog park. He showed me the water in the bathroom. Turned out he needed to get a part at the hardware store down the street so I went to the store. Had to put something back because I was four cents short and it wasn't taking it from a different account. Panic set in because people were queuing up behind me and 5 knew the maintenance guy would be back soon. Showed up shortly after I got back. I think he should have turned the water off before he left because the leak was worse. Almost the entire living room carpet is wet and there was water in the kitchen.

Tiles have to be replaced in the bath and the carpet guys came but they didn't do anything because I had too much stuff on the carpet. Moved 90% out but it wasn't good enough. Hyperventilated moving things and got dizzy a couple of times. Could be from the wet carpet and my shoes are wet. Called my mom to see if she could get ahold of my brother since the last time I tried, he didn't respond. Told her what happened and asked her to see if he was working today and if he was, maybe he could bring some water over because I didn't get any at the store and at the moment, I don't have any money. I will, in a day or so but not now

She sent me a message saying he got off at eight so she sent me 25 instead.

The office called back. I'll have to return the call. I won't be able to get both rooms clear but I am almost done with the living room. They could at least do that.

I was iffy last night about doing delivery but I guess it's a good thing I did because it's difficult to get things in the kitchen now. But I guess I've rested long enough and need to move things into the bedroom so they can at least replace the living room carpet.

@IsayUncle thanks. Carpet people never showed yesterday. Office was closed when I saw that they had called back. Was moving stuff. Just have one wall to move things from. Ended up using my folding mattress on a fairly dry section of the floor. Didn't get much sleep because the dog wanted to be close by so I didn't have much room. That and the smell and the dampness. Probably not very healthy. Tried turning the heat on to get the dampness out but it didn't work. Still getting my feet wet and water is leaking from the apartment onto the concrete outside.

That's a lot. (No one turned off the water?) What a freaking mess. You going to be OK?..... I still can't believe no one turned off the water..... you see water pouring out of somewhere.... isn't that the first thing someone does? or do they just let it keep pouring out while running errands to get supplies.

I'm suprised the cashier didn't let $.04 slip by. They often have a penny stash just for easier transactions.

@IsayUncle I think you did respond somewhere because I remember about the 4 cents.

The leak was somewhere inside the walls which was why no one noticed it until the second maintenance person came by Sunday. Did I mention that? I have no idea what I mentioned and didn't mention.

So Sunday morning I thought to try and turn of the heater to maybe get the excess water out. It was set to 85 while the dog and I were out playing with her toy. We went out shortly after five. I couldn't sleep any longer because the dry spot I had put the mattress on was no longer dry. I suppose I need to get some ground sheets sold at camping stores. Also need a shoe bench and various other things. Anyways, we were out until close to seven. The apartment was like a rainforestt with the steam and the damp smell. Dog didn't want to go in. I was able to get her in enough to get the grocery bags and my wallet and I took her to the store across the street. They only are supposed to allow service dogs ( she could be one) but this was a special situation otherwise I wouldn't have taken her. She was well-behaved. Got startled by a loud noise once and did get inquisitive at the meat section but she wasn't rowdy. She hardly is except with her toys. We then stopped off at the dog area on the way back and she was disappointed that I didn't have one of her toys. But, a friend showed up. However, her friend wanted to nose through my grocery bags more than she wanted to play with my pup.

Took the dog home and had to coax her into the apartment so I could turn off the heater and put the A/C back on. Put the groceries away (wasn't much) and took her out again to play with her ball. Some neighbor kids came into the dog section and threw the ball for her. We were out there for about an hour and then we went home but she still didn't want to go in. By that time, it was almost time for the office to open up so we went back and I explained to the office what had been going on and a second maintenance guy came out. We waited on the concrete for him. I showed him the water that was seeping out from the apartment, the water that was still in the hall, water in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. He went out to the closet where the water heater is and mentioned that he heard something leaking from inside the wall. He then did something to the water heater and the noise stopped. He took pictures and a video of the damage and calle the plumber and the carpet people as well as his supervisor. He said in his opinion, they should move me to another unit since he thinks the problem was the same problem as over a month ago.

We spent most of the morning outside on the stairs aince the dog was reluctant to go inside. Eventually the carpet people showed up and they took the stuff out from underneath the carpet in the section of the living room that I had cleared. I just had one wall to move but as I told the maintenance guy, it's difficult when you've got to slosh through three inches of water and there's only so much open space. My patio looks like a yard sale. The carpet people put an extra fan in. They vacuumed up the excess water. At least on the carpet in the living room. Don't think they touched the bedroom. The plumber showed up about an hour later. The carpet people said it was okay to go back into the apartment which was good because it was getting towards noon and the dog really shouldn't be out at that time. The plumber said they'd have to cut open the wall to get to the pipes. He said they tried the last time but I had too much stuff against the walls. I said the apartment office told me to do the bathroom and the kitchen, not the living room. Then I asked him where the dog should go because I didn't want her moved again. He said they didn't move her. Someone is lying. The apartment office claims they didn't move her and the plumber says he didn't move her. Yet she was in the hallway when I got home that one day. In her crate and the crate was turned around. Someone had to move her. She couldn't have gotten there on her own.

This morning I left her crate on a bathroom rug that I had used as a ground sheet for the mattress. It only worked for a few hours. By ealy morning, the blankets were damp, parts of the folding mattress and the rug I had below the mattress were damp. I got up to get some plastic shopping bags to put underneath the mat which made my socks wet. That was at one something. I somehow went back to sleep. The dog stayed on the couch the entire night. I think it was exhaustion more than anything that made me go to sleep even though it was hard with the creeping dampness. The clothes I had put on the cat tree were slightly damp also. The excess moisture in the air I'm gessing. My glasses were extremly fogged up when we got back from the dog area this morning. Had to clean them before I coud see properly again.

I'm hoping nothing happens to the dog today. The plumbers will be in and they have to open the wall. She's as far away as I could put her. The plumber suggested the bedroom but I couldn't do that even if I had wanted to because that carpet is 80% soaked too. And, I like having her where she can see me leave and return. I couldn't put her where I normally have her crate because it would have been in the way of the plumbers but it's near the courch. I'm hoping the noise doesn't bother her too much. She doesn't like loud sounds. The 4th of July is hard on her.

Oh the carpet people said it would take at least five days for the carpet to dry out and that's the section with the fans on it. The carpet will be more damaged after today anyway since the plumbers are going to have to break into that wall. No idea what I'll come home to. Hopefully the dog will be where I left her. She's close to the opposite wall so no one should have a need to move her. No one should have moved her the last time especially not on a day when I wasn't expecting anyone to be in my place. Not that whether I'm expecting them or not gives them a right to touch her...
