2026 Week #23 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 06/01/26 - Sunday 06/07/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

TALK ABOUT A HARD THING, TO PUT ON A TO-DO LIST. 😅
(Throw caution to the wind, and try to do it more this week.)

Things to do today....
Spray for lantern flies. Been seeing the nymphs along the fence line. They kill the trees 😐 This will also help with ticks
Spray for mile a minute. It spreads like wildfire and grows crazy fast. It suffocates anything it covers.
Anything else I get done is a plus. I need a few pluses 😅
@mytwistedsoul
They're pretty, I didn't know they were invasive and destructive.
Thanks for the heads up
GOOD JOB DONE! I hope you got some pluses too. They feel good. 😄
@IsayUncle They are pretty. Our state is big on doing what you can to wipe them out. The tree of heaven is a big attractant for them but they go everywhere. I lost a few trees to them over the past couple years.
I have no idea what my aspirations for the week should be.
@Enthenia Take each moment as it come and do what you can right now. 💜
@Enthenia
LAUGHING OUT LOUD! 🤣. I just read the previous post where Twist told you you deserved a break and you thought it was just a fast food cliche. (Big Macs, YUM but bad 😅)
And, now, I'm telling you you deserve a break, even before I read the other post. LOL. You better listen to your elders. 😁🤗
@IsayUncle I don't know. Now I have to deal with Animal Control because of what happened yesterday. The lady (who apparently lives across from me) called the corporate office as well. The assistant property manager was surprised when he found out it was my dog.
He agreed that she's well-behaved and not aggressive but an incident report was filed.
Was able to go back to the other place and take pictures for a removal service that has an opening on Thursday so I'm waiting to hear back from them.
It's just if that leak never happened, none of this other stuff would have occurred. I'm tired of dealing with the fallout.
@Enthenia
I know.... 😞😢. Easy does it.
One of my dogs does that too.... barks like a maniac, on & on but never would approach beyond a safe barking distance, never mind think about biting someone.
People and thier drama! 😩..... again, Go easy on yourself.
@IsayUncle I think it was more of a buildup of all the other instances and the dog barking at her was the final straw. It's regrettable it happened but it isn't something she does every day. I hope I can explain that to them when they come. Ihae no idea what i would do if she were taken away...
Slept more than the night before although she did see something outside at one something that she wanted to go after. Have to get a screen for the apartment patio. Be better when I can sleep in the bedroom but I don't know when that will happen.
And I just now noticed that I have things spelled wrong and no space between some words...
Monthly assignments dropped today so I'll be busy for a bit. Sent a follow-up email to the removal people because I haven't had a response even though I sent the requested pictures yesterday afternoon. Don't really have a lot of time on that.
So one of the removal places emailed back. They wanted $900!! Can't do even close to that.
My parents are going to have to help me out with the removal people. I feel bad about all that they've done because I couldn't do it myself. I had to pay rent last night. My father said to go with the people who came out and did a walkthrough of the old apartment. He felt like they were trustworthy. It's going to cost $600 though. This entire affair has cost close to $1k and that's not factoring in the things I'll have to replace like a bed.
Unsure as to whether or not someone went into the new apartment without my knowledge yesterday because the tray under the dog's crate was out, the blankets I had been using on the floor were in her crate (she could have pulled them in but I'm pretty sure there was a gap between her crate and the blankets so how did they get over there?) and some lights were off. The clock on the stove was flashing so I thought maybe there had been a power outage. But, why were some lights off and not all of them?
So on top of everything else I will need to get, I may need a security system too.
Focus on being productive, no matter what the outcome remain positive. I'm gona make a checklist and stick to it. If I don't get it all done no biggie just try. I'll be happy with that. 😊
Yesterday was a crap day 😕 Seems when it rains it pours. Already dealt with having to take the cat to the vet. Yesterday the large animal vet had to come out. The horse... There was nothing they could do. He was old. 25 at least. But dang... Ya know? The neighbor is still in the ICU under sedation because they have a breathing tube in him. Now he's running a fever. His wife's car had to go to the shop because it's acting up. It's a newer car and I have no idea about all the sensors and computer stuff. I've always heard bad things come in three's 😅
@mytwistedsoul sounds close to like what's been happening to me! I am sorry about the horse. Is that a long time for such an animal? I only know the approximate life spans of cats and dogs...
@Enthenia Thank you 💜 You definitely have a lot going on. I hope things worked out with animal control. I can't believe that person called animal control over what was in my mind was two dogs talking smack to each other.
@mytwistedsoul haven't heard anything yet but yes. Mine is not afraid to stand her ground. She tells dogs off that try to get too friendly with her as well. There's a pit that she's had words with. He's really friendly but gets the urge sometimes to get too friendly and she has to have words with him. Not that anything would happen (one of the things I got done after she had all her vaccinations) but she can get quite definite about her personal space.
It's hard when they go suddenly like that. That's how my old dog went. He lost a lot of weight too fast and I felt bad because I couldn't afford to get him to the vet (don't know if they could have done anything for him as sudden as it was). But, he went in his sleep under my bed. Of course, that wouldn't be possible for a horse unless you slept in a loft or something like that...
@Enthenia She's got boundaries. Good girl I say. She doesn't want anyone's nonsense. Some dogs are really good at pushing other dogs buttons even after they give warnings. Hopefully you don't hear anything more about it. Her dog sounds like an instigator.
@mytwistedsoul
Oh Man, You really got whammied!😢. I am really sorry to hear about your horse. You said he was at least 25 years old but when you care as much as you do, it must really hurt. Hopeflly the age just softens the pain a little bit.
Did you and your family have him all those years? What was his name and what was he like. It would be cool to hear a horse riding story.😊. I'm actually wary of horses. I Wouldn't say scared, just cautious with an unfamiliar animal. I think they sense that, and they're big and smart and I don't how to calculate my authority, As I do with dogs.
Again, Sorry for your loss.
Your Neighbors are going through a stessful times too. I'm hopeful ("hope" again) about your neighbors, his health and the problems with the car can be fairly routine setbacks (in both areas). Perhaps they will come up and out of them with flying colors. Still stressful now though. 😔
If she's financially able, sometimes it's best to take the vehicle to a garage. the way the cars are these days. But I do not trust garages or mechanics so I hope she knows somebody good, and they don't take advantage of her.
It's been a couple days since you posted. May the "BIg 3", have eased up on you a bit by now. Wishing you the best.
@IsayUncle I don't blame you for being cautious. They're big animals and it can be easy to get hurt.
@mytwistedsoul
Wow, Danny sounds like a very special soul. He'll stick with you. Thanks for sharing. 🤗
That's good news about the neighbor's health. 👍. May he continue to improve. And her with the car problems, Intermittent problems are a double edged sword. Glad that the car is still running and you can't find nothing serious wrong with it, but, then, always worrying about when you will find something wrong with it. 😂😭.
I've had a heck of a couple of weeks. Accumulating into slow progress. Large insurance and taxes expenses, At the beginning of the year, really had me in a scary Financial situation. Getting ready to roll coins, and try to sell some stuff. 😅 But then, a few blessings started to pop up. I picked up jobs here and there, right in my vicinity. Small little things but they accumulated into Stabilizing this months Bills and starting a pretty good backup for next month's Bills.
So today I'm sitting back, and able to breathe a little bit, and it feels good. 😁.
@IsayUncle Hey that's awesome! I'm glad you have a day to just breathe. 😊 It is such a good feeling to be able to do that. It's really awesome that you've got a jump on next months bills too. Those little things (jobs and such) do add up! Tbh I almost like the little jobs more 😅 Keeps things from being monotonous. God those financial setbacks are scary!
In case anyone was wondering about me. I got the cable for my modem yesterday. Clerk went off of the old location and gave me the wrong one. I was almost at the bus stop when realized that it wasn't the right one so I had to go back. Got the correct one then took the dog out for a little bit. German Shepher startled her (we were coming around the corner when they were) so she barked a bit. Took her in a different direction but then she had to bark at a Lab. Not sure why she found that type of dog threatening since they're gentle dogs.
Came back inside and spent an hour trying to get the Internet working. Was transferred three times. Then, apparently it was working but wasn't (which I didn't know) because some pages weren't loading properly and I couldn't download audio files on my computer. Figured it was just because it'd been so long since I used it. However, my mobile was having the same problem. It could access the Internet but it had trouble loading an application. Would get to 55% then would get stuck. Couldn't load my language app last night so the streak I had for over a year is gone. Unplugged the modem and plugged it back on this morning before we went out and that seems to have fixed it.
No real plans for today. Doing laundry, taking the dog out, and maybe trying to organize a bit.
@Enthenia It's a good thing you noticed the cable before you got back to your apartment. The Internet can be frustrating at times. I never realized how much I actually used the Internet until I was having problems with it or it wasn't available
@mytwistedsoul she seems to be barking less. Got the curtains for the patio door. Now have to get the rod to hang them on. Looking at folding carts to use at the grocery store. I have the wagon but I'd like something a little smaller. As I discovered last week, carrying groceries across the street after work is much harder than before because I'm further in the back now. The weight of the bags is worse than before. And there's the strain on my leg. Could be from sleeping on the floor. Could be from all the moving I had to do. Could be a combination of things. I just can't afford it to get worse.
