I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:

Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

@IsayUncle

I don't want to be negative, but last week and this week have been rough for me in the pain department.  I've had pain and flare ups for about 10 days now.  The weekend and earlier this week was the worst I've had in a while.  Today it seems to be tapering off but not gone.....my goal this week is to just do the best I can and work through this.....

@CyclingThroughLife

It Is OK to share your pain and hardships. I do not think that means, it instanly transforms to negative energy, or "being negative".
Maybe, to share it, is a form of positive energy..... (i think 😌)

I am sorry your flareups are happening. I hope they lessen and you start feeling better. 🤕.

The immediate goal is to get enough money so that I can get to work tomorrow. I have not deliberated much past that although I suppose another goal should be to keep cool this week. It's going to be 110 again tomorrow. It's going to be hot all this week again. The challenge will be keeping the dog entertained in the evening because she'll have been shut up all day and it's the hottest when I get home. Even waiting until close to six doesn't really help much because it doesn't cool down until it's practically time to get up again.

@Enthenia 110 is just too hot. It's hard with the dogs not really understanding why they can't go out and play. I wish you luck in keeping her entertained! Be safe in the heat 💜

@mytwistedsoul well the new apartment is designed better for her to play inside but I'll still take her out close to six. There will be enough shade in the dog section for her. She may only want to go after her toy a few times. I'll have to keep a close watch on her.

Not sure if we encountered the neighbors who made the complaint yesterday or not. Was a different lady than the two I've seen before. I was locking the door and she came around the corner with bags in her hands. Then she went back. Didn't say anything. We went on our way to the dog area but it made me feel responsible for the entire situation but then again, why should I have to restructure my entire life just to make it more convenient for someone else who probably doesn't even care one way or another?

Had no call from the officer either so I'm hoping this entire thing will just quietly get buried. The pup is not a threat no matter what the neighbors think or what the neighbor's roommate(roommates? Have no clue how many people are living there) think after having only a brief encounter with her.

Hopefully, everyone will start getting Along with everyone a little bit better as time goes on and like you said maybe the whole issue will quietly get buried as time progresses. I hope so.

@IsayUncle well still no phone call and I've done my bit. I called back and explained what happened twice. Yes, she still needs the microchip but that's not really a big thing.

@Enthenia You're absolutely right, you did your part and talked with them twice. If they met your pup they would see that she's a good girl. You can't always see what's going to happen when they're faced with a sudden encounter. She didn't bite anyone, person or dog.

Try not to feel responsible, although I know it can be hard not to. Don't let it make you make yourself small or change the way you do things. Not for someone else's comfort.

@mytwistedsoul sometimes encounters like that tempt me to be sarcastic. I didn't really have time to think about it that day because we had to get to the dog area. She doesn't wait long after being cooped up all day. Hopefully today won't be too bad for her. She was feeling the humidity this morning so she wasn't as active as she should have been. It's rained a bit while I've been at work. Maybe it'll be a little cooler this evening.

Currently trying to get my earnings up. Noticed last night that I'm running out of vegetables. Have $3 so far. Enough to get a salad from a store but nowhere near enough for delivery and I don't particularly want to walk all the way back home with just one thing in my bag. I did Monday but that's because I needed to get the bus pass. With my leg still giving me some pain and the extreme temperatures, I really did not want to walk the three miles to work. I suppose I would have had to if I had no other choice but I was able to get the bus pass. Cou'dn't get anything else like I had hoped which I suppose is why I'm trying to raise my existing balance on my applications. I almost have $5 now.

Got a message from my old bank. They're talking about closing my account and sending it to collections. I changed where my paycheck gets deposited a couple of months ago because of all the fees. It's actually been nice to have some breathing room with my paycheck since everything has been so screwed up since the end of last year (and the forced relocation didn't help). I'd love to pay everyone off in one fell swoop but I don't know if and when that will happen. Calling the toll-free numbers won't help because I don't really know how to explain the situan and, more importantly, I have no idea when I'll be able to pay the account (any account actually) off.

It's not like I don't know what to do. I just have extremely limited means to do it with. Yes, I'm getting a bit here and there to help with every day expenses but it's not enough to invest or do wealth management with.

@Enthenia Banks can be ridiculous with their fees! I don't blame you for switching banks. Let them send it to collection. It won't get them the money any faster. It's hard having to do that but you can't squeeze things any harder to get more

@mytwistedsoul yes. One of the budgeting sites estimates I've paid them over $1K in fees last year. Main reason why I switched banks. The site said I could try to recover the money I paid on fees but I don't think I'd get very far. It would probably go the way the letter to the apartment office would have gone if I had sent it (requesting compensation for what I lost in the relocation) which would have been nowhere and most likely, caused more trouble than it was worth. I have had more than enough stress this year and I have had quite a lot in the last few weeks.

My credit will be in the tank until I can get these paid off. I get that. I have no plans for any major purchases in the near future anyway. I still have to get the apartment sorted out. Got some books up on the built-in shelves (yay!). One series is too tall so I'll have to put them in a different location.

Thought I had submitted this yesterday. Guess not. Let's see if it'll actually post this.

Dog hurt herself somehow. She was yelping when I touched her backside. Cried a bit this morning when she jumped to get her toy and she wasn't on the bed with me last night. A vet bill is something I can't really afford right now...

@Enthenia It would be more trouble than it's worth. Banks don't like giving back money. The fee's they charge are ridiculous. One bounced check can really set someone back. Plus so many places want people to pay online but then they charge extra fees for that. Tbh I think the whole credit score thing is overrated. I get the reasoning behind but at the same time if someone is in a bad spot and could use a break it doesn't help them

Hey that's great that you got some books on the built-in shelves! It'll be a big relief when you have the apartment put together the way you want it

Oh no! I hope she'll be alright. Hopefully it's just a pulled muscle. Another person I know just had to take their dog to the vets for an injury. It's something I worry about with my guy too. He's always into something. This morning he was picking a fight with the rooster (smh)

Sending you both love and healing vibes 💜

@mytwistedsoul thanks. She took her new ball out yesterday. Was supposed to be a replacement for her cracked one but I only looked at the color and availability, not the size. It's the small version of hers. She still chased it and this one she can carry to the dog section. However, I threw it high once yesterday and she yelped slightly. I kept it low after that and I moved a fabric ottoman over to the bed so she could get up easier. I had tried a storage tub the previous night but I think it was a bit too high for her. She figured it out because she was near my feet when I got up early this morning. She jumped down onto the floor and didn't make any noise and she's still walking fine. I haven't tried putting a hand on her haunches yet because that's where the pain was. I thought that it might be an abrasion from her cracked ball hitting her or something (she likes to block it from time to time) but that doesn't explain why she cries out slightly when she jumps.

I agree with the credit ratings. For the most part, it's a way to show lenders that you won't disappear if they loan you a large amount which sort of goes against reality I guess. To me, it's better to do without some things if one can't afford them. Becoming dependent on things like credit, buy now pay later, loans, etc. just makes it more difficult if something happens and you can't repay them but many seem to take items purchased through these methods as entitlements and they aren't. If you got them up front with your own money then you can claim ownership and, depending on what the article is, you don't have to worry about reposession or foreclosure because you didn't borrow anything.

Besides, we can't always get what we want. That's reality.

@Enthenia It might take her a few days before she's feeling better. Maybe it's just a bruised muscle and her jumping pulled the muscle? It times like that when I wish they could tell us what's wrong. Clever girl figured out how to get on the bed!

Absolutely! I agree with you on that. I realize that it does tell lenders good things about people paying their bills but it irritates me that the people who could really use a break and are already struggling end up struggling more because they have to pay more. Credit cards have got to be the biggest drain on people's finances. The interest rates alone are so high! Most of the payments are towards the interest, with a few dollars going towards the actual loan it's self. And they wonder why it takes 20 years to pay back.
You are right about that! We can't always get what we want.
I hope it's not as hot where you are this weekend

@Enthenia

II just finished reading all your posts and I do hope you can get your banking in order. It is just so hard to do when you don't have the money to do it. I agree with you and twist both, that the credit card are absolutely criminal.

I think they used to have a name for that and actually charge people for criminal activity if they charge too much. USURY is the word and They get away with it because but the government says those interest rates are fair then they can't be charged with usury, and the government is all about protecting the big institutions., not the indivuidual..... But morally, everyone knows it's still usury.

I do hope your pup gets to feeling better. They're pretty good at healing themselves. I can never afford to go to the vet and sometimes my dogs suffer a little bit, but I do a lot on my own to take care of them, but if it gets too bad, then I bring Themm to the vets..... but i always cry poor house, i think it brings the bill down to a more fair payment.  May your pup heal soon.

Hve a good saturday! 😀

@IsayUncle well she whimpered a bit on her second time outside. Not sure what she did she was on the other side of the dog fixtures in the park but she yelped. I'll still have to keep an eye on her. Got almost $20 from the surveys! But, it's hard to do them on the weekend because everyone is doing them on the weekend I guess. I kept getting notices that they were full. Mopped the floor with the dog's help so it took longer than it should have. She's waiting to go out again.

It's not as hot out here today but there is no shade at the dog park so it wouldn't make sense to take her over because she won't be able to be in the shade. I think the humidity is higher today too. That's why she hasn't been especially motivated to move about. I guess I could have kept the patio door open for most of the day but she does not like that little dog (plus some others) so I didn't want her going out unsupervised until I get the screen for the patio railing. I don't think she'd actually cause any trouble but I'd rather not have any other complaints.

Have a bit of a headache but that's because I haven't eaten much. Got a couple of shopping carts full of stuff. Just don't have the money to check out. At least I have $20. Didn't have that before. Just torn on how I should use it. I could do delivery if I get enough but I need other things like yogurt and groceries. I can get the bulky items next week because I get paid. I can also get the dog more food because she's low on her dry food. Right now, she's lying in the doorway with her nose in the wind. No dogs are out so she's content.

@Enthenia

You mopped the floor with the dog. That wasn't very nice. 😂🤣😂🤣.

Yea, we have to be careful with the humidity and the heat, even if it's not quite as hot.

You eat a lot of healthy foods when you can but can you prepare and freeze them for later. To buy Good frozen foods It's pretty expensive and you don't get a lot. But to prepare foods and freeze them takes a lot of time too. I think it's easier to prepare and freeze comfort foods like meat loaves and burgers stuff like that. But fresh foods and healthy foods seem to be harder to prepare ahead of time. I was just wondering if you had any experience with that. Buying things in bulk is usually a pretty good money saver if you have a way to freeze or store them.

@IsayUncle she was my assistant. She tried to herd the mop like she used to do when I had a vacuum. I intentionally got a stainless steel mop. I still have to get a deck brush for the patio because I tried to use the indoor broom to sweep off the patio and the dog messed it up. Have to get one that's durable.

She's doing better but she's whimpered a couple of times. She whined a little when I brushed her tonight. If she still feels pain, I may have to take her to the vet. It's just the timing of it all. I mean, rent is coming up and I'll have to get groceries and food for her because she's almost out. I fortunately was able to do a delivery order tonight. Not something I should do but my refrigerator is practically bare. I also had to wait until 6 for the survey bonuses to get credited. Had over $4 in bonuses. I actually had some money left over after I did the delivery order. Enough to get a drink or something tomorrow.

And, I can get things to fill up the refrigerator in a few days. Unless I win some of those contests (which isn't likely). But if I do somehow get chosen, I will have money for the vet if I need to take her.

@Enthenia

That's cute, your assistent. they are fun like that.

It's always a hard call about bringing a pet to vet, the because of the cost. Have you tried inspecting her yourself. Looking past her skin or her fur. Putting pressure points on her to see you know where she winds and where she does it.

Through necessity and not being able to afford vets myself, I find that they usually heal, give it enough time. But it is worrisome when it takes a long time, like 3 or 4 weeks. If they're still active and playful and herding mops, she might be all right.

Hopefully you can make some winnings and get some food for the week. I wish you the best of luck there.

@IsayUncle well no email so not this week. One of the contests isn't over until the end of this month so I still have a chance as unlikely as it is. I looked at my total payouts from the surveys. It's $188 so far and I started it a month or so ago. It's not a lot, but it's better than nothing. I just got another dollar from a survey so I'm building a balance again. I can't pay my bills with it but it does help. At least when the links work and the survey doesn't fill up. I think there's a lag on the site because a lot of the time (at least when it's later in the day), I click on a link that has just shown up and I get a notification that it's full. Almost haave $2 again which isn't bad for not even a half hour.

@Enthenia Tbh it would be tempting to be sarcastic. People like your neighbors can often escalate things and they would just make things worse.

I bet she is more than ready to go play when you get home from work. Poor girl, I hope it's cooler for you both this evening so you can enjoy being outside

Yogi minds the heat and humidity too. He loves running around outside and chasing sticks or balls. But when it's hot and humid I limit his time outside too. Does she like interactive toys? I got Yogi an octopus that moves on its own and plays songs. He loves it 😂 I've been tempted to get him a snuffle pad but he's really not good oriented

Oh God yeah I don't blame you for not wanting to walk 3 miles to work! The morning might not be as bad but the afternoon would be horrible. You're doing awesome with these surveys . I hope you can get enough saved up to get the things you need

@IsayUncle I hope your Monday started good and leads to a good week. It was a wet day here this morning. I put up a couple pounds of green beans and a few of sugar peas. Evicted some squirrels that found their way into the shop. Jockey'd some things around in an attempt to get some organizing going. Fingers crossed 😅

@mytwistedsoul

To be honest, I don't know whether I'm doing good or not. LOL. just Iiving it from one day to the next and thankfully, no horror stories. Knock on wood.

That's great with the green beans and sugar peas. Sugar peas are so good. It must feel good to harvest the garden when things come in. Good for you! I've been eating some of that wild plant called the broadleaf plantain. I don't know if you've ever had any of it but it's pretty darn good.

You should have asked the squirrels to help you move some stuff around before you evicted them. 😁. It'll be good Get more organized, that's always good. I'm still trying to get my a shed building delivered to my house, by me. Maybe I can ask the rats to come help me before I evict them.🤣

BTW, How'd that jewelry box come out. Was it fancy intricate or more basic?

Have a great day! 😃

@IsayUncle Sometimes that's all you can do. Make through each day but no horror stories is always a good thing. I have a groundhog getting in the garden somewhere 😅 I thought maybe it was a deer but they'd have to jump the fence and I would think I'd see tracks. 😕 I see this groundhog and he might become Sunday dinner 😂 I've never had it but I've heard it's pretty good

Oh man to be more organized would be a dream come true. I should have asked the squirrels to help. They made a heck of a mess! They chew on everything. 😐 Hey rats are pretty smart! They could help for sure 😂 Or wreck everything with their chaos

I'm still working on the jewelry box. I did get some small pieces of glass and the wood cut for it. But I need to put it all together and get it done. (tbh I forgot about it for a little bit 😬)

Hope Wednesday is treating you well! 😊

I haven't had broadleaf plantains. I've heard they're good for you though. All kinds of vitamins and stuff. I have had dandelion greens though but I can honestly say I'm not a big fan. They're not too bad in salads if they're young plants but cooked reminds me too much of spinach 😬

@mytwistedsoul

I can only imagine that jewelry box is gonna come out mighty fine when you're done with it.

When you talk about those dandelions, I was wondering if you ever deep fried the flowers with a tempora Batter. Those are really good but of course everything deep fried is good😂😋.

I take it you don't like spinach. I'm OK with spinach but I never really liked cooked greens too much. The thing is I get older I'm becoming more accustomed to them. When I lived in South Carolina, and down here in the rural country they cook a lot of greens, like mustards and collards and spinach. I think it was more the texture i dislked. Over the years I believe I've weaned myself until more of appreciation for them by adding these greens into soups chopped up a little bit.

A couple weeks ago I tried poke salat for the first time, I didn't think I was gonna like it because you gotta pre cook it a couple times and rinse it off first and it was already soggy by then. But by the time I cooked it up with some green Peppers and onions and butter..... OMG... Delicious. I think I'm past my dislike of soggy greens, which is really good because they are really healthy.

I noticed that foraged greens have a lot more flavor but they also are much chewier, it seems to me.

So far, my foraged greens have been dandelions, poke salat, and broad Leaf plantain.

I've read this weeks posts and i'm voting for the rooster to win.... with just a good scare, no harm to to your buddy! 🤪 LOL.

Have an awesome weekend twist.

It sounds like you have a positive forward approach for the day, setting yourself up for good progress. I hope all goes well. Good plan. 😀
