2026 Week #27 - Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 06/29/26 - Sunday 07/05/26)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are can be harder than what we first think. That's OK, You can do it. It's normal. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.
(New requests and Old friends returning, are always welcome and encouraged to be added)
Is anyone else feeling small and having a hard time of it? I'm going to take a break from the thread until i feel better.
Sometimes..... that's just the way it is. I'm looking forward to the moment it passes and, i do know, it will.
No sympathies needed, I'm just shareing, so maybe others, that feel the same way know it's important to remember..... "This too, shall pass"
@IsayUncle Take rest <3
@IsayUncle Not sending sympathies... Just a gentle reminder that we're here if you need a friendly ear
@IsayUncle Did you ever say or write something that just didn't sit well with you but you can't quite figure out what it is? All of a sudden a bright light comes on and you're amazed at how incredibly stupid something sounds? This is me right now.
I'm sorry Uncle, I shouldn't have phrased my comment the way I did and I'm sorry too for not realizing sooner.
You've been in my thoughts. I hope the week got better for you. Sending good vibes, light and love your way (sometimes we can all use a little of these)
@mytwistedsoul
omg. you said nothing wrong.... i'm not communicating good... sorry.
and, i did that to you the other day, to you.... hoping the rooster won.... tring to be funny, but afterward realizing that was kind of mean to yogi... sorry about that.
Whew, glad it's going to start cooling down.
@IsayUncle Hey you're communicating that's the important thing imo. I didn't take any offense to what you said about the rooster and Yogi. I realize now I should have wrote back. I planned on it but then before I knew it a new week started. How do the days go by so damned fast?!
I always have a hard time of it and frequently feel small but I think everyone experiences a sense of minuteness from time to time.
Got another questionnaire out of the way. I feel like I was asked the same set of questions more than once. I had one that was AI based where I got stuck going round and round with it because it didn't like the answers I was giving it. It was about a conceptial product design and I was trying to explain my concerns about added weight but it didn't like my responses. I eventually gave up and said there was nothing wrong with the design.
So a goal for this week...not really a goal but I have to get the dog her food this week. She'll be running out soon. I'd like to have another bag before she runs out. Will also have to get her some chews but those can be got at the pet store near work.
Also want to get the bulk items. Still having joint problems so I don't want to carry a lot from the store when I go. Also, I can't carry a lot when I have the dog with me. Getting a folding cart would help but I have so many other things to consider getting. Some of those buy now pay later options look attractive but I know I don't qualify for them. They're basically like credit and I can't do credit right now even though I apparently have one account current. Still have a lot of others to get current and paid off.
Dog is better. Played with a friend this morning who can get rough. She wouldn't have done that if she had been in pain. She got to run around and wrestle which is something she doesn't get to do often. She gets along with most dogs but a lot of them we never see. I'm glad I don't have to worry about a vet bill.
Did something to my leg yesterday. Stepped around a car that was waiting to turn into the street (I have learned it's simpler to go behind them because they are less likely to back up than pull forward) and something pulled. I'm used to having difficult in that one (even more so since the move) but it was so bad I didn't walk the mile to the bus stop. Instead, I waited for the bus that would take me to where I get my connection. I could have gone all the way down to where I could catch the other route but then I'd have to walk across the street. I figured it was better to wait for the bus I normally take because I wouldn't have to walk as far. Still, walking from the bus stop to my apartment was difficult as was being dragged to the dog park to play.
It didn't seem to hurt as much this morning but I have been moving slower than normal. It feels like it's from the hip down but it could be just the joints and I haven't stretched it correctly. Happened to me once before. Had a pain in the other leg for nearly the entire day and then I stretched and something in my foot popped and I had no more pain.
Hoping something like that will happen because I don't have the money to get myself to a doctor either and I can't work from home.
@Enthenia Glad to hear she's feeling better! I may have missed it in another post but how did things turn out with animal control? (no pressure to share if you'd rather not)
@mytwistedsoul thanks. It's not as bad as yesterday but it still hurts. I have compression wraps on my knees. Been using them for years but it still hurts. I may wait for the bus again this afternoon. It depends on how well I'm walking later.
After the call back I had on Saturday the 20th, I've heard nothing. I'm not going to press the issue. I mean, if it was an issue, they would have gotten back to me especially if they thought she was agressive or a threat.
Will be glad when I can get groceries. I have a 20% off coupon from the delivery place I did the other day. Not sure why. They claim there was an error on the order but it looked fine. Have to use it this week if I want it. Currently don't have money for it. I have $4 from surveys and $15 pending from games but the site that's on takes a week to process.
I was repetitive. Did this at work and was distracted by having to explain why I needed a replacement employee ID. Turned out I needed one anyway as the one I had to get into the building was outdated.
Last night I got on the floor to pick up the toys because the dog dumped her basket out. She never picks up her toys. I did something and I heard a pop inside the knee and after that, the pain wasn't as bad. The upper leg still hurts but that's better than before. Took the bus yesterday since I was still having trouble. I should be able to walk today.
Made a payment on another past due account. Not as much as they want but it's something.
Need to do the grocery order because the refrigerator is literally bare. I was scraping the barrel last night. Already ordered the dog her dry food because she's practically out and since my leg is better, I should be able to get to the pet store for her other things.
@Enthenia Yogi never picks up his toys either. You've done your part with the animal control people. I think if they really thought you was vicious or a threat they would have looked into things more deeply. Maybe they've dealt with that person before for minor things but still have to look into things because of procedure
@mytwistedsoul well I walked over to the pet store to get her some chews. I went to the coffee shop first so I could get something to eat as I haven't had anything until about a half-hour ago. Not something I should do and I entertained the idea of getting something delivered earlier for breakfast then decided it wasn't worth the tax and delivery fees. I thought about going to the donut place around the corner from work because they do coffee, donuts, and the breakfast sandwiches but I wasn't sure on their pricing and I knew the coffee place had the egg white bites which I knew I could eat. Also thought about going to the new sandwich place that's in-betwen work and the shopping center where the pet store and coffee shop are but again, I didn't know the pricing and the drive-thru was pretty busy so I figured it would be just as busy inside and I didn't want to wait in a line for something that might be overpriced.
Nearly out of money again. I made a rent payment. I also didn't get all the groceries I had wanted and I'd wanted to go to the healthy food store for the dog's marrow bones Friday. I'm leaving work early to hopefully get my mail from the post office. I had also wanted to get a few other things since I don't get over there that often but it doesn't look like I will be able to. Have to keep in mind that my bus pass and phone bill will be due soon. The pass expires Tuesday and the phone bill is due two days later. Also have the Internet bill but that will have to wait until I get paid again unless I do really well with the games and surveys.
I get paid 3x this month so I'm planning to make payments on other things and get items that I need to replace or didn't need before or didn't consider getting before. And, this month, I add another year to my total so I may get things from family. Probably not much because they had to assist with the move but anything will help although I don't like being dependent. I suppose that's why I endure so much. If I say nothing, then I don't run the risk of inconveniencing someone of make them feel compelled to do something.
Oh. I don't know if I'll walk the mile down to the next bus though. While I was able to walk better, it wasn't at the normal speed and the upper leg still hurt a bit when I walked.
As for the popping, I don't know if it's the same as cracking knuckles because I've never done that but from what I've read cracks and pops are normal so long as there's no pain or swelling. Hopefully things will never get that bad because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford the price of a specialist for something like that. I do the roll-on joint relief products which does help but sometimes not enough. I also do the epsom/magnesium baths now that I actually have hot water again and I still do stretching but sometimes it's hard to figure out what needs stretched to get things back to whatever is normal for me now.
Most things got delivered las night. The plain yogurt was unavailable and I didn't want substitutions because it was for the dog and she's not supposed to have flavored yogurt because of the sugar. I had to get a partial refund though because I think the driver forgot a bag. It said everything was delivered but the frozen fruit wasn't. Which was just as well because I had gotten the fruit to put on top of the yogurt for the dog. I'm going to have to get yogurt and fruit this afternoon after work. Also will need to get something for her to eat as her food won't be delivered until tomorrow and her current bag is empty. I don't know why it has to pass through the next state over if it originates within the state but it does.
Had an email from the student loan provider saying I was behind in paying them so I set up payments right away. Honestly wasn't aware that I had fallen behind but I know I have to get those caught up.
Um, something happened to the elderly upstairs neighbors because there was a fire truck in the street when I got home. Then there was a police car. The firefighters were coming down the stairs when I took the dog out to play. She wanted to say hi. One of them said the couple was all right when I asked but there was a lot of activity around the apartment for a few hours which upset the dog. I think she scared the delivery person because I had the patio door open since it was relatively cool and she barked at someone because they had to go around since part of the carport was blocked off by tape and that was after six. I don't know how long they were there because I got home after four but I remember that the dog had wanted to go around so she could sniff some bushes after she played in the dog park but then we had to backtrack because of the tape. It was all clear when we took the trash out this morning though.
The leg still feels a little tight this morning. I've stretched it a few times but that hasn't completely relieved the pressure. Also wearing my older shoes so that may have something to do with it. I wore the new ones yesterday and I don't want to wear them all the time because that will make them break down sooner.

OK, that's good. you survived. (some people say, just breath, easy does it... it's almost a cliche) BUT it is not a cliche. AND it seems you've learned the magic of breathing execises or even as a habit. That is fantastic. Good job, keep it up.
Your one step at a time approach is really smart. keep on plugging away. 😊.
Got the mail. Had waaay more than I thought. Most were election ads and other ads plus bills but I got my health savings card and my ID! Now I can get my password reset at work Monday. Also paid my vision bill. Apparently have an outstanding bill for the lab tests my doctor did. Need to double check the balance on my health savings card before I pay that one. And I found out that my information was leaked after a data breach from the school I've been going to. As if things aren't bad enough.
I also got groceries and the dog her bones. Her food was waiting for me when I got home so I was able to feed her. She was appreciative.
@Enthenia Hey that's great that you could get your mail and your id was in it along with your health savings card. I am sorry to hear about the data breach though. I've had that happen before but it was through a store. Hopefully nothing comes of it.
@mytwistedsoul I've had it happen three or four times over the years. Just doesn't sit well with me. The fact that I was studying IT and security and this happens.
Dog survived last night. She didn't get as upset as I thought she would. She's still having problems with her leg though. She still whimpers when she goes after her toys. Will have to keep an eye on her. Thought she was over it because she was getting up on the bed and walking fine but I guess not.
Um, the elderly neighbor upstairs lost her husband. That's what happened the day I saw the tape and the firetruck. She stopped by yesterday and told me. I knew something had happened with all the activity that day. I think the dog was uncomfortable with her being there but she behaved herself. She did baby talk to my dog. I talk to the pup normally. She expects me to go up and visit her from time to time. I can understand I guess. All she has now is a couple of cats. But, I don't know what I can do. I mean, I've only been in this apartment for a month and I get up early, go to work, and I'm out with the dog a lot. I can't really relate to anyone thirty years older than me.
Not much else is going on. Was able to get to the store with the dog this morning. She was very inquisitive. I guess it was because we hadn't been there in a week or so. She wanted to go yesterday but I didn't have the bags with me.
@Enthenia Oh wow yeah, that wouldn't sit with me either. You would think a place that's teaching IT and security would have better security 😅
@mytwistedsoul well she let me touch her this morning and she didn't pull away or anything but it might be in the leg itself. Like a tendon or something which would not show up on an x-ray.
She could have stepped on a rock or something too. I mean, she's walking fine but she's not wanting to jump up on the bed and she is a jumper. I put an ottoman near the bed but she won't even get on that so I don't really know what the problem is.
I just don't want to wait too long and possibly cause permanent damage but as it stands now, I barely have enough for the phone bill and bus pass. I won't be able to do the month pass. I'll have to do the fifteen day one again.
So she used the ottoman last night and came up. She also seemed fine when she jumped off. Maybe she did step on something the other day. At least she's doing better for now.
@Enthenia Wth her being a jumper, it could be a tendon. I looked into symptoms of an acl tear and it sounded like she wouldn't want to put weight on it and it would be swollen. Maybe she pulled a hamstring?
@mytwistedsoul nothing appears to be swollen. Hopefully it's not any sort of tear because keeping her stationary would be a challenge.
@Enthenia I hear that! Our pups don't want to sit still! Busy busy all the time! I'm sending good vibes and love to you both 💜
@mytwistedsoul well the fact that she's a shepherd makes it difficult. That's why keeping her occupied in the summer is a challenge. Today, it's not going to get down to the mid 80s until 4 am which is when we're up getting her exercise before I leave for work.
Today I found a possible opportunity to make an extra $50 doing market research. They give you a device that tracks internet usage and you do surveys every now and then. I did the initial survey but I guess they have to ensure that you qualify first. I think it's a little like the Nielsen surveys but I don't watch enough television to qualify for those. Right now I'm doing some games. I have enough on the survey account to pay the remaining balance on my phone bill but it's due in two days so I'm trying to get a little more. I'd like to have extra if I can do it. Extra would help with groceries. I know it sounds like I'm constantly buying things but I get things and forget about other things. Like plain yogurt and I still want to get salmon plus a few other things. Then it will be time to do the monthly orders.
@Enthenia Oh definitely! She's got herding in her blood. Oh man 4 am! you're definitely a dedicated dog owner that's for sure. I admire you for that. You do a lot of good things for her. It's nice to see! 💜
@mytwistedsoul The dog loves salmon. Well, she likes pretty much any fish. I tried getting her some freeze dried fish that I found at the pet store near work and she loves them. The cat, when I had her, was iffy on salmon. Sometimes she'd eat it. Other times she'd look at me like "Why are you giving me that?"
Still need to get the dog a feline friend. There's a Siamese or something that hangs out in the area we take to go home from the dog park in the afternoon. She doesn't like the boots so I had to find a way back where she wouldn't be on the pavement for too long. Of course, I no longer have the boots for her since that was one of the many things that was left behind. Anyways, she's been really interested in the Siamese when she sees it but of course, the cat doesn't want to have anything to do with her.
But I have to get the apartment situated first. Still have 80% of things in boxes. Lots of stuff to put on things and the things where I can place other things cost. I may have found a solution for quite a few things though. I have a lot of plush from gaming titles and I had been putting them on shelves. Well I did in the old place and I have a few on the built in shelves. But, they actually make holders for such things. There's an outer frame and the inside is hollow so you can put the items in. There's elasticine ropes around the space in-between the outer frame to hold the plush inside. I could use that to hold everything. They could still be seen and they'd be stacked on one another so they wouldn't take up as much shelf space. Then I could use the open space for other things. Of course, I still have to get other things like seats and tables and a floor light. I also want to get the curtain rod for the curtain. She hasn't lunged at the patio door in a bit but I'd rather be safe. Speaking of safe, I still have to get the screen for the patio railing. I'd rather not have anyone else complain about her.
And there's other things I should get. Like a new pair of sandals for when I take her to the dog park since the ones I have now are old and they were pretty much what I had on all the time when the carpet was wet. Still need a few more rugs for the new place. And need a secondary pair of athletic shoes because I think transitioning from my new pair to my old pair is making my leg hurt more. Both of them were bothering me this morning. They still hurt a bit and that makes me reluctant to stand up from my desk and go to the restroom. Not that I need it now but...
Um, building a shopping list for delivery which won't be until next week and I visited one of the gaming apps that I haven't used in a while. I didn't like the selection of games. There is a new one and it's not a big payer but it's like a slide puzzle game. It's called "Card puzzle" I think. There are many levels and at the start you are dealt so many cards. The fewer the cards, the easier the puzzle is. The cards flip over and it's like a picture cut into cards. Sometimes it's a photograph and sometimes it's a replica of a fine art piece. You have to sort the cards until you get the completed picture. It does offer you hints but I haven't needed to use any so far. And, it's a game where the ads happen only after you complete the picture which I can deal with. I don't like the ones that interrupt your thought process every five seconds.
But, I'd better stop doing this and get back to my job. I also need to get a little extra money for the phone bill. I forgot that the plan I was on was discontinued and they moved me to the slightly more expensive plan so I need $15 extra instead of $10.
@Enthenia Yogi likes fish too. I haven't tried him with Salmon yet though. Cats are kind of fickle with food I've noticed. The cat here doesn't like meat scrap's but he likes to torment the chipmunks.
