How I would like to see this week go. (Plus giving thanks for last weeks progress)

I was extremely off balance prior to last week but I worked hard to get back to square one. I feel like I can actually make a plan for more than one hour at a time or one task at a time.

There's a huge difference between entrepreneurial ship, working for yourself versus being obligated to a full time job. I've done both and I know the pros and cons of both intimately. I'm actually in a place where I do both right now. The pro side of my full time job is that it is bus driving and actually can be considered part time. This gives me the much needed extra time to do my side work which is working with backhoes and dump trucks, septic tanks, ditches and gravel.

And then there are families and dreams. I have no children so my path (tials, tribulations and rewards) differs greatly from those that do. I do have dreams though. Working my bus job and doing my side work for the past several months has deteriorated my time to work on my dream. My normal day-to-day stuff was getting further and further backed up. I had lost my footing and I am very thankful to have a place like 7 cups to come and regroup and reboot. It still takes a lot of work but it's very helpful to be able to express myself here sometimes.

Last week was good for me. It was one hour at a time, one task at a time. (Tiny steps to get out of a very bad slump) I'm thankful and blessed with the progress that I was allowed to make.

P.S. I encourage any member to share their goals, commitments, trials and setbacks along with accomplishments and rewards. Regardless of the size of the task, whether it's washing a few dishes or climbing Mount Washington... It's all relative and equally important. What thing do you wish to do and genuinly want to talk about and be encouraged with?

Well, stressing a little bit because of this mornings time consumption. This gears towards me reducing my weight. I had way too many veggies in the fridge for a single person. BUT I abhore throwing food away, actually wasting anything... anyway, back to washing and prepping the vegetables. All fresh, Corn, Sweet peppers, Hominy, Cucumbers, Cauliflower, Carrots, Celery, Lettuce , Spinach and Kale.

To use everything I am washing and preparing to process 4 different ways.
1) A fresh house salad loaded.
2) A medley of mixed vegetables cooked in bacon fat and seasoned. (to eat with rice or bulgar wheat)
3) Pickled two quart jars of remaining hard veggies.
4) Juice the remaing veggies for 2-3 jars of green veggie juice.

I didn't realize I had so much but I've been planning to reduce my weight from about 287 to 280 and maybe close to 275. I guess today is got to start that additionl goal for me for the week. If time allows, I'll do a seperate thread but for now.....

..... my goal is to maintain 285 lbs for 7 consecutive days. If I can do that, today will be worth it because I'll have enough veggies and to last a week LOL. And for the record, I do love processed meats, Pizza's and Tacos.
