My Goal Today Is... 7/16/22 (Commiting - Pedal to the Metal)
I accomplished my goals last week but it was so very hard. Everything else fell by the wayside. My house is a disaster, dishes so high in the sink and on the counters, I can't hardly get a glass in there to fill with water, Re-washing the same coffee cup every morning, dirty laundry everywhere and on & on. I have a living standard. A Clean kitchen,Bedroom and bathroom. Clean floors, Laundry done. And a Clean refrigerator NO waste. I love cooking and eating too much so I have to make sure the food in the fridge is cooked, canned or frozen. I really waste too much time on this as a single person. BUT THAT IS ANOTHER STORY/GOAL (Diet)
I'm taking today by the hour: 4am - 5am Wash dishes
@IsayUncle
My 4am - 5am goal was kind of a fail BECAUSE... I pacify/stress eat all the time. This is a different goal in regards to diet and health that I will address sooooon. Yea it's really true.... soon, but not today.
Working to clean the kitchen puts me in the kitchen and if I'm in the kitchen eventually I have to cook something to eat.... Dirtying dishes while washing dishes, OMG. This morning it was hot dog chili and chili dogs... YUM so good. I did get a lot of dishes done too but not pedal to the metal style.
My 5:25am - 6:25am Goal: Sort and start laundry. Finish washing dishes.
@IsayUncle
Alrighty Now! DID GOOD. I was sure to put away my hot dogs and chili so I wasn't temped to snack more. I passed my hour timetable but not by too much and the goal was completeing the tasks and in a reasonable time. BIG SUCCESS!
My 6:55am - 7:55am Goals: 1) Personal morning tasks. 2) Move and re-sew button on shorts due to weight gain.
@IsayUncle
9:00am: Sleep - Eat - Watch TV - Nap - Procrastinate - Feeling guilty - Eat - Nap - Watch TV - Sleep - Wake up - 2:00pm:
What happened here; I was dreading doing the refrigerator. I had such a good start this morning, but then I got tired and the fridge seemed like UGH... what a pain in the butt. My stress eating made me lazier and I dirtied up the kitchen again but not bad, just a few things to clean up and put away.
(Focus - No Eating - No Noise) 2 hour plan.
2:30pm - 4:30pm: Clean kitchen - Sort fridge and save foods by cooking, canning, and freezing foods for usage and safe storage.
@IsayUncle
Mediocre Effort and Distractions
2:30pm: -
make chili - package dogs for freezer - wash dishes - clear table - continue
laundry - significant time on 7 cups - feed dogs - phone calls - 5:15pm.
TRY GOAL AGAIN
(Focus - No Eating - No Noise) 2 hour plan.
5:30pm - 7:30pm: Sort fridge and save foods by
cooking, canning, pickeling or freezing foods for usage and safe storage.
8:00pm: I did it. I finished the fridge by cooking, freezing and juicing everything before they spoiled. I can afford discounted thngs but cannot afford to let them go to waste. Everything is more work when there is little money. That was along day of a lot of little bits.
I got the little bits done by remembering these three quotes when I wanted to quit.
1) “The beginning is the most important part of the work.” Plato
2) “Everything yields to diligence.” Antiphanes
3) “Begin - to begin is half the work, let half still remain; again begin this, and thou wilt have finished. “ Marcus Aurelius .... and he is right!
