One milestone I have reached recently is.....
I've been doing things even if they scare me because I know the end result will be worth it and it has so far. It sucks being scared all the time but if you can face those fears and overcome them then lives not that bad.
Opening up to family.
I
I got a job in the industry I've been training for. Also joined this site to try and insure I keep my anxiety under control so I don't mess it up.
I've made the realization that I need to care for and about myself first and foremost, not out of hare or contempt for anybody else, but for knowledge of my own faults that need to be resolved before I can help others. An analogy I saw on a video on Facebook, it's like when you're on an airplane, they tell you to put on your oxygen mask first before anybody else, before children, before the sick and the elderly, not because you don't like them but because you can't help anybody if I'm sitting there passed out on the plane. Take your meds, eat when you're hungry, sleep when you need too, take care of yourself first, strengthen yourself so that you can be empowered to help others.
One my third therapy session. Good to feel I'm growing as a person and working on self-care.
One milestone I reached today is even though my life seems torn upside down I can still kick butt at work. Go big or go home! That's the moto I live life!!!
like walking one mile to get stoned? ...Thank God those days are long gone!
I'm starting to get to a point of acceptance around a lot of things. I'm not there but I can see the beginnings of the foundation for self acceptance, meaning I am less judgmental, more curious, less in need of external validation. As well as acceptance that I can't change the things that people did to me when I was a kid and maybe I can love myself anyway.
@strega
I've been needing to cry all day, and now I am, thank you.
