Project Achieve Your Goals

Setting goals is the easy part...reaching them can be more challenging!
Having someone support you in reaching your personal goals can be incredibly helpful. Today, wed like to announce a new community program aimed at helping you reach your goals.
Well need both listeners & members to make this happen! Here is how you can get involved in this project:
Members:
Step 1: Post a goal youd like to work towards in this thread. Be specific! Goals work great when you can make them measurable. Usually that involves a time period and a number of times. Additionally, you want to start by making goals achievable. Do not make your goals too hard or you will grow frustrated and not be able to reach them. Much better to make them easy to accomplish to build your confidence right from the start.
Examples:
I want to cook dinner for myself 3 nights per week
I want to go to the gym 1 time per week
Take 3 growth path steps every day
Step 2: Specify if you'd like a listener to check in on you 1 or 2x/week.
Step 3: Wait for a listener to reply to you! They will reply and let you know they will support you reach this goal.
Step 4: PM this listener to get going! They will not be able to support you by checking in on you if you do not first PM them. If you find that a listener has not followed up, then please post again and request another listener.
Step 5: Post your progress each week >>in this thread<< and also on your feed so more people can support you in achieving your goals.
Listeners:
Step 1: Wait for members to share their goals in this thread! When you see a goal/member youd like to support*, reply to their forum post and let them know!
* Please make sure you can support the member based on age group, ie. Adults with Adults, Teens with Teens. Only Adult-Teen Listeners can chat with both *
Step 2: Once this member has messaged you and established connection over PM, its your job to better understand the members goal, why its important and what you can do to best support them.
Step 3: Make a commitment! Check-in with this member twice per week and enquire about the goal!
Step 4: Let us know how you and your member are doing! >>In this thread<<, we will track your progress as team. Post here to let us know how it's going!
well my goal is to first accept myself the way i am and get comfortable in my skin !!! i want to be more clam and composed coz anger and anxiety are getting the better of me.
My goal is to eat more healthily! I'd love to have a listener check in 2x a week!
@raspberryApple9800 I'd be glad to help you with your goal, feel free to PM me <3
My goal is to take each day one at a time and attend my classes regularly
@Birch7037
I'd love to help you achieve this goal! Feel free to PM me
to be able to move forward again and to begin my coursework once more. I have took huge steps back in the past couple of weeks since getting back to reality after a wonderful trip away and I am unable to continue with my course at the moment. I feel as though if I don
I think I need some help finishing my final thesis for my bachelor year.
It's so much work, and so much writing and it's overwhelming. I know what I want to do, but to actually sit down at my desk and write my chapters, results and look online for literature is really hard.
I'd like to write at least 1000-1500 words a week, but I haven't really gotten myself to doing that just yet
@JayTheBird14 you can do it ♡
@JayTheBird14
Wish you the best of luck.
I've always struggled with writing in school.
Makes me feel like I won't be cut out for grad school and shouldnt even continue applying.
I need to set reachable steps towards my goals though.
Figuring out how many words to write per day is such a helpful step.
@JayTheBird14
When you force yourself too much or think you "must" do something it sometimes back fires.
It may be good to listen to how you feel, try to do what you afford.
One of my goals is to get my work done everyday and not wait last minute to do everything.
@Diamondzoe
You can do it too!

I know motivation is hard to find sometimes, but once you get into the rhythm of things, it gets easier
Not sure if this is counted as a goal.
Goal : To find and recover (Physical and Mental Health) my life
@mike911
Of course it is a goal. It is a large one though, possibly something you need to work for your entire life to keep it where you want it to be. So maybe split it up in smaller, more manageable goals? Like eating three healthy meals every day, drink at least 2 litres of water and sleep 8 hours a day? As for the mental health, try to do a check-in every day on 7-cups maybe, or find yourself a therapist if that's where you're at right now? Such small goals are things you can reach every day, and eventually they'll help you reach that one goal: of becoming healthy and staying that way.
Good luck
@JayTheBird14
Somehow my username changed. Althought it is not what i wanted...
If you do not mind, i will be splitting the response into multiple chunks... to reply easier...

Entire life? Hiaz. Guess I am pretty much goner... if it is going to take so long.
So maybe split it up in smaller, more manageable goals?
I do not think I am trying hard enough, but i keep trying to list everything down, yet they are repetitive and never ending and yet i kept procrastinating about it...

I can only eat simple meals, and have to be light. Cant really take sugary, dairy, spicy, oily food well.
Sleep is a problem... I will feel tired enough to sleep at night, but i cant sleep for long.
Hence causing my day to be off course also.
As for the mental health, try to do a check-in every day on 7-cups maybe, or find yourself a therapist if that's where you're at right now?
Yes am seeing a pschyologist/pscyhiatrist. But it has not been very fruitful.
I have also adruptly stopped taking the anti-depressants, do not seem to feel the effects and don't want to be on long term medication.
Such small goals are things you can reach every day, and eventually they'll help you reach that one goal: of becoming healthy and staying that way.
Perhaps you are right... the only way to find out is to try.
@mikenai22
Maybe the meds are not at the correct dose or it is the wrong meds. You need to talk to your doctor instead of just stopping meds.
@DanaMH
My medication was changed 3 times, and this current was the longest running for 3 months and the dosage has been increased 3 times... Hence I thought if i can think and live better without... I rather live without unless really it is a mandatory thing.
No sexual activity for a month. Don't know completely whether its a goal or a challenge
Getting very frustrated with the app on my phone. I posted to this thread about wanting to do yoga more consistently. This is still my goal. I had a teen listener respond (I am sorry, I don't remember the user name). It won't let me see her response or go to that page. :(
My goal is to do yoga 2-3 times a week. I would like the support. And more help in how to use the app. Please. :)
@reliableYard6357 Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. The app is currently being glitchy, so it's probably not entirely your fault. :) Anyways, I love doing yoga myself; if you still need a listener, feel free to pm me!
@lovelyWhisper66 thank you. I sent you a PM.
One of my biggest goals in life is "Follow the plan, not the mood." So today this means making dinner, taking care of my home and enjoying a very long shower. Also, I hope to not be in bed before 9 pm.
@SimoneMarie82
Ah. How accurate!
Emotions can detract us more than we can think. This factor of emotional weakness has harmed me much.
