Proud of myself because I'm being independent

No matter how stressful and difficult it is, and how bad the homesickness is at some times, I'm proud of myself. I'm been living in the Philippines for two months now, with at least another two months to go. All of my friends and family are back in Canada.
This is a huge step in my life. I'm here for the summer on a work contract. It's not easy, and I'm still working on making new friends. But not a lot of 19 year olds can say they've lived on their own in a foreign country. It's an accomplishment.
