Happy Friday morning.....I'm able to be at the laptop and say hello this morning while I actually sit and enjoy my coffee, not drink it on the run at work.......I'm working second shift today....Even though I've been doing the early shift and getting up at 3am for almost 5 years, I'm not really that used to it and sleeping in this morning was wonderful....with that said, I'm not really looking forward to working a shift I normally don't.....I'm expecting it to be a terrible day....only because that is how my mind works....we will see what happens.....

In other news, I still haven't pressure washed my front porch like I wanted to.....I did, however, take apart the inside of my dishwasher, wash and clean all the parts, put it back together, ran a cleaning cycle, then removed it because my new one will be here tomorrow....the old one is 10 years old, it still worked but we are slowly updating and redoing the kitchen one thing at a time.  Why did I take it apart and clean if I'm getting a new one, you ask?  Because it still works and I'm giving it to a realtor we know for one of her rental properties.....wanted to make sure it was nice and clean prior to her picking it up....Anyway, that project took most of yesterday afternoon.....the new one will be here tomorrow at some point so this weekends project will be getting that one put in.....

Anyway....I'm going to finish my coffee and hit the garage gym for a bit before I have to go into work....I'm so glad I get to say hello on the laptop....Have I mentioned how much I hate typing on my phone....the following tells the whole story.....have a great day people....

Home ownership has proven to be the bane of my existence this week.  My new dishwasher arrived yesterday.  Needless to say, it was missing the power cords and new plumbing hardware that the salesman told me would be with the unit.  After a trip to the Home Depot to get what I need, I set out to get it installed.  Silly me, thinking it would go smoothly....why would it?  The water shut off under the sink was stuck open. The copper pipe was corroded green (now I"m wondering how many other pipes in the walls of this old house are this way, like a ticking time bomb, waiting to corrode through and cause water damage)  How did I not notice this before?  Of course In the 8 years I've lived here I've never had a reason to get under there and shut off the water to the dishwasher.  I managed to force it and un-stick it to close the valve, and now it is leaking from the top of the valve around the knob.....Due to the condition of the valve and pipe, I needed to replace it anyway so tomorrow morning, I'll be calling a plumber.....Dishwasher install on hold.....So today, this last day of your week, and the first day of mine, I will be in my bank accounts, moving money so I have it to pay the plumber tomorrow.....here's hoping it isn't too expensive of a fix.....I also have some other normal house chores, laundry, dusting and that sort of thing that needs to get done today.....and if the rain holds off, I need to get the boy to mow the grass.....

In the mean time....I'm enjoying what I call "relaxation coffee".....that cup of coffee you don't have to drink on the run on days one has to go to their place of employment......Here is how I take my relaxation coffee this morning.....On the porch....listening to the birds on a quiet Sunday morning....
