I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

I've added a "soft" tag list to this thread because I start a new thread every week and it gets lost sometimes. Anyone that is interested in following and interacting might not be able to find it so I hope this helps. It's a soft tag list because it's not permanent. It will fluctuate with activity and requests. Agreeing or requesting to be on this tag list will keep you on. If I got you on here by accident, please let me know because it's supposed to be a helpful thing and not an intrusion.

Here's to a Fresh Start
You Can Do It! We Can Do It!

Hello everyone, week 45 was a whirlwind for me. Adjusting for new employment options, perpetual problems with equipment, and a visit from relatives really had me on the run last week. My relatives from New England had a great visit for all of us and now they have continued on their westward journey.

There was a lot of great stuff in last week's thread that I didn't get a chance to right about. I'm not usually a question and answer kind of guy but you all gave some real good input on those questions that I had asked. I really wanna thank you everyone for taking the time to do that. I was kinda hoping that one guy talking about meaningless goals would have jumped in on the conversation but maybe another day. I think the majority of us agree that maybe the meaning of the goal itself is doing the goal which gives it meaning. That was great and there were some great insights on all the questions. Thanks for interacting with all the questions and giving your time and input. That was great and there were some great insights shared.😀

I didn't have the time to respond about some things last week so I'd like to just touch base a little bit and see how you guys made out with a couple of things.

@cloudySummer... Did your talk come together? image_1699896174.pngimage_1699896235.pngimage_1699896246.png

@CyclingThroughLife... Doing your miles last week was a hard goal huh? Good job on getting that done. I was telling my sister when she visited this week that everything was breaking up down on me and she's my older sister so she shook her finger at me pretty much, saying a stitch in time saves 9. LOL. Those construction repairs can be a real pain in the ****, I hope with your girlfriend and you you all managed to get it put together by now. Best of luck on that buddy.

I'm really sorry that your work schedule got chopped up like it did. That's really a big deal to have your weekend broke up to where you don't have too many days in a row. I hope you can take enough time off or the work situation resolves itself a little bit. Try to keep that positive attitude and keep your head up. You can do it!

@unassumingCar1350... You did good last week with your pillow goal, got any projects for this week?😀

@KristenHR... You asked these holiday questions last week and I didn't get a chance to answer them.
How do you find the holidays?  Are they something you look forward to?  Is this a time of the year you struggle with?  If you find them difficult, is there a new tradition you can set for you this year?

I do not have children so I do not have that kind of family, like my own family. I have sisters and lots of nieces and nephews. So mostly, I'm not big on the holidays. I want them to move on by to get started for the new year. I struggle with a little bit of guilt for not interacting more with cards and phone calls but how I fit into my family environment, it seems kind of forced and dis-genuine on some level. I do try to stay upbeat and positive if I converse with other people but mostly it's not the big carefree celebration that I wish it could be or wish it was.

@TheLemonade... Ready for a new week? Don't forget last week you got dressed for the gym and then didn't quite make it. I must admit I did enjoy looking at those foodie pictures though. Are you guys gonna try to go to the gym this week?

OK, for myself; I am not scheduling any work for myself this week. Last three weeks have just been really weird and I am just gonna regroup this week. I'm not financially secure enough to do more than this week but I hope to do some regrouping, rebalancing, and part of this week is gonna be some job hunting. I don't have anything else on my plate from other people or other obligations and that's a good place to be so I'll try not to get lazy and stay diligent to a productive and proactive end-game goal.

I'm sorry for the late thread but I hope y'all 's week is starting off good. Have an awesome day 😀.

Today is going to be a cooking day. I bought an excessive amount of food for my visitors last week so the fridge is packed with stuff that needs to be processed and cooked, frozen, canned and stored.

I got a big kitchen job done yesterday. I finished a venison beef Stew which took care of most of my potatoes onions carrots and celery. I used all of the thawed game meat I pulled out of the freezer.

Here's my list of my kitchen and foodie todos:
1) Mix frozen fruits with an old container of yogurt for a good snack throughout the week.
2) Process and Can fresh fruits for jars of preserved fruit salad.
3) Package venison Stew into one quart bags and freeze flat for storage.
4) Wash vegetables and make a large house salad to last for several days.
5) Make biscuits to use up soured milk
6) Meltdown all excessive meat fats that are in jars in the fridge and mix with dry dog food treats to put in molds and put in the freezer for amazing fatty treats for the dogs.
7) Make homemade chocolate pudding with the excess milk that I have.
9) Package up the remainder of the boiled ham to put in the freezer and then package the ham stock to freeze flat in one quart bags.
10) Cut up the dessert cakes I bought into serving portions and package them for the freezer.
11) Refreeze the small top sirloin and filet mignon steaks I took out of the freezer.

I always do this when guests come. I over purchase a monumental amount of food and then I have to process everything after they leave. I have got to learn to do better.
I guess today will be my version of a holiday cooking day.

Here's to wishing everyone a good Tuesday!🤪

I believe I'm going to have to get back to my lists again. My minute by minute lists. I'm free falling into a very depressive mood or episode and I cannot afford that, financially or emotionally.

Everything I have worked so hard for in the past year is either falling apart or has not materialized into completion. These failures and inadequacies are hindering my ultimate goal which was to try to reunite with my family but now I'm thinking maybe that's just too grandiose and not worth the effort.

My big hound dog has not returned home for about four days now. The heavy loss can be felt in the house. The other dogs do not act the same. They have a hierarchy of habits and that is thrown off balance for them right now. It's weird and you might not think it matters but it does.

Tomorrow I start fighting for my Peace of Mind once again. I had it for a moment but then lost it. I wonder how people are able to relax, laugh, have unreserved conversations. The harder I try for a solid foundation, the further I get from those realities.

Back to basics. It's confusing to know where to begin.

But beginning is in itself is the right step. My morning tasks are done. I can easily list 50 things that I can work on. And then I can also state why those 50 things are stepping stones to important end goals that I'm striving for. If each of those 50 things we're broken down into 5 smaller steps, one might say, that I have 250 things to do.

To begin.... Manage, log, review receipts and all other financial records. Out of the other 50 things that I can do and while many of them that I would like to do, that would be fun to do and be beneficial, I must consider my unemployment and my meager financial situation (but not desperate yet), my financial foundation is by far the biggest priority at this moment.

Rule... No televion shows for distractions. (Music, Motivational, and other background sounds must do)

I'm starting off feeling better about things today.

How is everyone else doing today? I'm sure we all had our trials and tribulations for the week and hopefully some wins and uplifting moments.

I was reminded how powerful kind words are so I hope everyone gets and gives plenty of those as we wind this week down and prepare for next week's possibilities. ((((Hugs + 💖's to all!)))... if you go for that sort of thing. 😊
