I've done the same! :D The only way to do it is by practicing and also accepting the way you look, the way you act and the way you talk.

Yeah I know how you feel. I've only done a few vidoes on youtube (and still haven't stepped in front of the camera) but it does feel awkward even hearing a recording of your own voice. I have a deeper voice and always felt I sounded dumb on tape. Like I speak with a "duh" sort of twang to my words. I had a friend watch of my videos and said my voice reminded them of the dog from the Eddie Murphy version of Dr Dolittle. Crappy movie, but still it's not too bad for someone to liken your voice to. It was meant as a compliment from them anways. It's made me feel a little better, and just trust more that people don't think I sound like a dummy when I talk.
