How is future interesting?
I am a 22 years old woman, Samar :)
I have been into hard events since I was at high school because of mental health issues. Living with mental disabilities while I had to study was a great difficulty for me. I lost a lot of my abilities to study and couldn't get high marks. In general, I had to drop a year at high school and got into a college I didn't attend to go to. I had an expectation of being an engineer because I was smart in Mathematics. I found myself during my psychotic episodes searching for psychology and neuroscience. Currently, I got into plan B I decided to do which was studying clinical psychology, then graduating and doing master's in neuroscience.
I want firstly to say that our plans may not fit sometimes, and having other plans will make us keep having hope. Never stop and keep going!
While I work as I can to have a good CV and learn sufficient abilities to study my desired major, I think of how my reality can be attached to my dreams. What I am doing now is the key to achieve my dreams.
Having dreams that you want to achieve should be ones that make you happy, not to only tire yourself and have a specific social position. For me, having Nescafé and watching tv after doing work I love is better than working to be showy, which was a thing I sought. I learnt that being realistic in dreams helps a lot to achieve these dreams.
Obstacles I have that prevent me from acting as a normal person give a lot of pain to me. Now, I think it is good to feel the spirit of happiness and satisfaction despite that the road is still long.
Just a tip I tell myself is:
Focus on the process and enjoy it than the results and how they can be showy :)

Super proud of you, Samar. It takes strength to navigate challenges in life and courage to share about them, sharing the lessons and empowering people to look for the brighter side of things!
It's so true, we are often running behind things we aren't even sure we want, and by the time we reach the finish spot, we don't even remember the race, just the running, tirelessly without allowing self to pause and reflect, and ground in the present.
Thankyou for sharing this beautiful reflection! I hope you continue to find lots of joy in your journey! ❤

Sometimes our goals and dreams, blend but, not exactly like we see them, something close or more of that dream. like finishing college is a goal by it self, to be flexible is good to; even if you didn't major in engineering, you still decide to major in clinical psychology and neuro. all the best, I hope for you all the success and happiness
