Hi all,

I'm going through a breakup and it's just been so unmotivating honestly. I want to do the old hobbies I liked, I want to increase my skill set, I want to read books I planned on doing so, but I just feel stuck, I feel unmotivated cause they remind me of that person.

Any tips on how to push that motivation to work? 👉👈

@funnyTurtle9669 Sit in the rut for awhile. Feel sad. When you’re done with that, pay attention to exactly where and when your feet are. Breath. Look around. Here you are, right here, right now. Your partner is in the past. Hey, there is your hobby, just sitting there, a little dusty, waiting for you. Breath! It’s a new day.

it’s okay to feel unmotivated, especially because you went through a bad breakup. I reccommend that you just try and do things to help you get over them. You can hang out with friends or just do things you like doing in general. Remember to not rush yourself and to take things one step at a time.

Hi, my name is Xuan! Personally, I think that maybe you should try to think of activities you enjoyed doing before you and him were ever together? Maybe it can inspire you and get you to enjoy what you used to do again! You can also try to hang out your friends, or situations that just don’t allow you to think of him at all. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear about your breakup. It's completely understandable that going through this experience can make it difficult to find motivation and enjoy the activities you used to love. Remember, healing takes time, and it's okay to have ups and downs along the way. Be patient with yourself and celebrate your progress, no matter how small it may seem. It's important to surround yourself with positive energy, and I hope that you find peace, healing, and strength as you navigate through your breakup. Wishing you healing and happiness on your journey forward.

Maybe find a meet-up or an online forum or social media group related to those hobbies and skills and create relationships or discuss these hobbies woth others.

Perhaps in the meantime gathering the items, equipment ir materials related to the hobbies and maintenamcing them or organizing them and such will help rekindle the Interest in the hobby again. Muscle memory and all that.

If these are hobbies and skills you acquired after knowing the person you broke up with, perhaps they were something you took on for the sake of relating to that person and spending time with them and such. Maybe they are simply not a match any longer and you can be free to move on and try new things now.

I hope you find your self motivated to gain skills and engage in hobbies soon whether old or new.

Be kind to yourself while you grieve the relationship and what it meant and all the plans you had for it and how it fit in your life. This is a big deal and there're alot of feelings to process.
