Hi everyone! To do things that can be unpleasant in the moment, we all require a why. Exercise can be a challenge at times, life gets busy, we get distracted and some of us just down right dread it.

But for most of us its an important requirement of life. What is your why that motivates you to exercise?

I'm a firm believer that exercise is an important part of your physical and emotional/mental well being....There is so much data with illness and disease related to exercise and a healthy lifestyle. With that said, my why:

Longevity....I want to be able to remain active and enjoy life well into my old age

Knowing it will help my physical and mental well being.

The feel good factor.....feeling of accomplishment of finishing a workout....

To be an example/motivator to my family and others who may want to or NEED to exercise and live that healthy lifestyle

I noticed that I am in really bad shape, like walking got me extremely tired. I felt the need to do something about it. While I want to have nice muscles, that wasn't motivating enough. The bad shape pushed me to do it. I bought a protein shake with a good enough flavor and that motivates me too :DD

I have been able to maintain a workout routine for two weeks and I hope I can stick to it :))

my reason to exercise is to finally appreciate the body god has given me. I have always disliked my body and the way it was and I was extremely unhealthy too both physically and mentally.

exercise gives me that feeling that I can be the person I want to be. Exercise helps me appreciate my body from me, to me instead of seeking outside approval or listening to their criticisms.

On the days it was the hardest, when I really don’t want to work out. I remind myself of my my younger self and the girl I aspire to be.
