I am too much disgusted with birds droppings. It is so much that if accidentally my clothes get touched with birds poop, I would clean everything my clothes would touch after that. I like to keep my home clean. I do not allow shoes or outside slippers inside my house. Does this mean I have OCD??

@yellowHouse536

It doesn't mean that you have OCD.

You like things in a particular way.

There's nothing wrong with that.

It's just about not letting it become heightened or a fixation 💕💜

@yellowHouse536   Not necessarily! What you’re describing sounds more like strong preferences for cleanliness and order, which many people have. OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) usually involves persistent, intrusive thoughts that cause significant distress and rituals you feel compelled to perform to reduce anxiety, often interfering with daily life.

Being particular about cleanliness or hygiene doesn’t automatically mean you have OCD — it only becomes a concern if it’s disrupting your life, causing extreme anxiety, or taking up hours of your day.

If you notice that your cleaning habits feel uncontrollable, or you’re constantly distressed about germs or contamination, it could be worth talking to a mental health professional for clarity.

You’re definitely not alone in wanting a clean home — lots of people have strict routines without it being OCD!
