My OCD experience
Hello, everyone! I was diagnosed with OCD a few months ago, and I think I’m still learning about the full effects that OCD is having on me. What I know: I have intrusive thoughts, I have the “checking” behavior (when it comes to making sure people aren’t hurt by my actions and I am very conscious about my health and physical being. I’m hoping to chat with anyone with similar experiences so I feel less alone.

It can take a while to get used to a new diagnosis and get the support and the answers you need 💛
You are not alone here and I hope others who have gone though similar might share their experiences 🩷

I was recently diagnosed with OCD and anxiety as well. I grew up having extreme mood swings and assumed it was PMDD. My psychiatrist said that the ADHD I was previously diagnosed with was most likely OCD. A lot of things I struggled with almost felt so stupid to say out loud so I would just keep it to myself. I would have awful intrusive thoughts that I was too embarrassed to talk about or mention. Its been a lot of navigating and researching. I always assumed the stereotype of OCD so I was shocked that it was suggested. But the more I research the more I know that this has been something I have been dealing with all along.
