OCD Medication?
Hi everyone :)
I am new to this and don’t really know what to do .
I have suffered with OCD since I was a teen and I am now looking into medication for it. This would be my first time trying medication and don’t know what to expect. I was wondering if anyone can share their experience with certain medications ? I know it can be helpful for someone people and just want to hear which ones where helpful to some and which weren’t. Thank you ! :)

There are some reviews of medications for OCD at Ask a Patient, but it seems to me there are not enough reviews there to give a clear picture. Of course there are many other websites where you might be able to find useful information.

Hi! I was on Lexapro for a few years and it seemed to help really well, but my body got used to it and I ended up switching. I was on a few different meds that my body didn't like, but now I am on Fluvoxamine (Luvox) which is the gold standard for OCD and it seems to be agreeing with me! Obviously, everyone is different and what works for me may or may not work for you but be patient and you will find the right medication! Good luck!
