I feel like don't have time for myself.

Hello. I'm a working from home mom of a son (1y).

Of course I'm grateful and happy to have him in my life. I love him with my everything and will do everything for him to. However, at the same time I feel like I never have time to myself anymore; especially lately. It feels like a never-ending cycle.

I have to pump when I wake up, then after I have my breakfast I need to cook for his snack, aa well as his meals for tomorrow. That's all while I also have to cover for my work as well, while my son is being tend by his nanny. And then suddenly it's 5PM, it's time to play with my son until his bed time at 8PM (while in between he'll have a dinner as I am too). Lately, he just wants to sleep with me on the bed, no longer on hold- and it takes apprx. 30mins to 1hour. After that, I have to tidy the house from his toys and everything he's been playing with. Then I gotta pump once again, before taking a shower. And it's already 10.30PM by then.

So I only have apprx. 1 hour and a half time for myself everyday- except the time I went out, of course. And I feel like I can't do anything worthy in that short amount of time, like nothing to put me on a best condition again until it's time to sleep and then wake up with the same routine.

I do have a partner in this, but there's a lot of things that somehow ended up with me taking it's responsibility (aside from things like only I can do- like pumping), like cooking and getting him to sleep; because he's more excited to play with my partner in the same room as he is. He plays with my son too, but usually after like 15-30mins he'll get bored and so, I end up accompanying my son again for the rest of it.

I don't know if I can do anything to make it better, or if there's anything I actually can change. But I just, with how I'm not recovered to my 100% everyday, in the end burnt out so badly that I want to scream out loud.

@reinara039

have you asked for help from your partner?

It is also a side effect i think from those who are working at home .... i could not do it long term ..... you get torn by everything needing to be done ..... let your partner learn how to do things with son or help cook clean etc ... do you do it because you have no help or that you feel you are the only person who can do it RIGHT ...... you need to make yourself a priority a burned out person can not juggle that i would like to gradually let go then fall apart and everything fails .
