Tw: depression, anger issues.

Did anyone got postpartum depression? If so how bad was it? And how important has your partner’s support been for it?

i got REALLY BAD postpartum depression, I didn’t know how to handle it and my boyfriend (now ex sadly) didn’t really give me much support, all he did was get mad or say i was out of control (i did hit him once because he wouldn’t pay me attention texting when i was talking about our baby’s health) but i cried every single day asking for forgiveness.. I didn’t get much help just some weak antidepressants, but after i recovered my bf and my mental health, i stopped taking them, but it triggered badly again when my bf got tired of me and the struggle and expenses of the baby.. so i got worse and would lash out at him like force with him (not to hit him) just asking “why don’t you understand me why did you changed with me” asking for help.. but he just got tired and cheated on me since our baby was like 5 months old (i think) and left me for her and now I’m alone with my baby struggling alone🥲💔💔 and he does not help me out with child support either, he lives in the US and i am back home outside of the US.

@FrozenRosesz I'm really sorry to hear about the challenging experiences you've been through. Dealing with post-partum depression is incredibly tough, and it's important to have a supportive partner during such times. Your courage in facing these difficult situations and trying to seek help is truly admirable. Post-partum depression is a real and serious struggle, and it's essential to have understanding and support from those around you.

It's unfortunate that your ex-boyfriend didn't provide the support you needed and deserved during this critical time. A father should stand by his partner and share the responsibilities of taking care of the child and household tasks. Your feelings of frustration and distress were valid, and reaching out for understanding and help is essential.

If you ever need someone to talk to or share your feelings with, I'm here for you. Feel free to reach out whenever you want. Take care of yourself 💜
