New Mom's First Tea Party

Hello all you wonderful mothers
It is a blessing to be able to come together with you all and create a safe welcoming area just for moms. The team and I want each of you to feel safe and feel this is another place you can bring up any topic or question so we all can support you.
I thought for our very first tea party we just get to know each other. We need to learn our community members and what they like and even the joys or struggles of becoming a mom.
* What are the names and ages of your children?
*Share something you like about this child. Can even be struggles.
*Please share any and all topics you like to see we bring up weekly in our tea parties
**For those of you not a parent yet**
* You may see out in the world how sometimes being a parent can be hard and stressful. How do you think you can support this parent?
* What are some good skills to have when supporting a parent that needs your help*

HI everyone I am a single mom of two wonderful girls. When I had my first daughter it changed my world a lot. I was not new to caring for a young baby, but to have your own is something different.
Alexandria 19 Now this bundle of joy really has shown me compassion, patience, love no atter what she done, uniqueness. Alex has autism, adhd, social anxiety and insomnia. She can be a big handful for me and disrupt the house. But I know this is not her. She is so talented and taught herself to play all the percussions in band class. Her art work is wonderful. She is now drawing and sells things to friends and teachers. She loves pizza and sketti
loves sweets and all things very cold. My struggles with her is waiting patiently for her to accept life skills so she can handle distressing things easier. My wish for her is to gain job skills after she graduates high school. To soar and deal with her mental illnesses and not let life drag her down
Taylor 17 Ha this "big" bundle of joy is my twin.Everyone shares she looks just like me
She has taught me to be open minded to such things as LGBTQ and difficulties in life. She is very talented and plays the viola since she was 5. She took an interest in a cello now. She loves to draw and also sells her work to outside folks or even to the school for projects.
With both my girls I wish them the best in life. I love seeing the differences in both of them. Also how they some how come together and love and support one another with school issues. Yes being a single mom is hard, but theese two make it easier for me in so many ways
@RumpleSteeleSkin
Wow! You have inspired me in a magnitude of ways. Being a single mom can present a ton of challenges like no other. Kudos to you for all the amazing work you do to provide your beautiful daughters with the best of the best! Say hello to Taylor and Alexandria on my behalf 😛 ❤️
Thank you Rumple for sharing a significant aspect of your life with us. I am sure many more people will find inspiration after reading your response. Well done!!!
@Tazzie awww thanks hun. I got inspired by other single moms/dad and saw they made it. However, whatever they had to do for their kids they done it. Right- it can be very hard at times...but I feel it only strengthens each of us to come closer together and work like a team. Ha sometimes that approach does not work and the "lip talk" occurs. Those are times to sit down and again in love have a talk. I want to encourage others they can do this as well as best I can.
(I wished I were a new mom just to be able to join...so nice...enjoy your tea party🤗😊)

Hi everyone, I am a mother of one, a boy. Having him in my life has taught me alot of patience. There is a saying that says " You never know how much your parents loved you till you have one of your own" and it makes a lot of sense. I love my boy very much. He is 2 and a half years old. Very intelligent, he is fast in grasping thinhs and words said. He loves dancing. My only hope is for him to grow up to be responsible and reach for his dreams. I believe he is a child of favor. And he makes motherhood journey such an enjoyable experience. We mothers deserve alot of love and a pat on our backs because we are the backbone to these wonderful children we are raising. Much love to all of you ❤️❤️
@annegray2018
Welcome to our forum! 😀 It gives me so much joy to know that you have a wonderful kid, who is making motherhood a great experience for you. You are absolutely right about the saying. It's hard to know how challenging and joyful parenting can be unless one has stepped in those shoes. Thank you for sharing with us. You are welcome to join in other forum areas within our community too!
@annegray2018
Gray hi and welcome to this area
Yay for lil boys as they do keep us on our feets. I've heard of that saying alot and I do firmly believe in it. Never have that special love until you have one of your own. The worry, commitment, wonder, prayers and so on we have for them even when they grow up to young adults like mine are. Wow great that he is a fast learner and loves to dance. Never know what he would like to do with those skills. Yes I agree with you on moms needing that "pat on the back" It seems we know how to hold everything together most of the time for our lil ones. Thank you so much for sharing with us on your lil boy
Wishing everyone a cozy party! A shoutout to all mothers for being super awesome, always.
Hi to all mums! Tea party sounds like a wonderful idea!!
I'm not a new mum myself, my little one will be 4 years old this month, but back then I was a teen and had absolutely no experience with childer and babies. Everything first for her was also first for me, it was one heck of a rollercoaster ride, haha. It brought stress but at the same time, so much joy and I learned what unconditional love is. I knew she's mine and only mine, that she will love me and I grew together with her as a person and as a mum. I wouldn't change anything for all the smiles, joy, happiness, tears, struggles it made me face because it's all worth it!
Wishing you all mummies to have the strength to enjoy everything that parenthood throws at you! 💜
*sips a cup of tea in this lovely party*

@Amy OMG HUGGLES
Ha Amy it is so so awesome to see you stop by here. I know chobbo is getting so so big now-must be keeping you busy. awww I love how you worded what you shared, so much love and compassion for your daughter. I remember years ago you sharing on things in rooms on being a parent. Amy you have come so far as a young mom, it really is a honor to have you share here and that you were a teen mom. Look how far you come!!! Again thank you for sharing here and be proud hun

@Amy
Little Amy sounds a great girl. I am proud of how well you have coped with everything life has thrown your way. Good going, girl❤️
@RumpleSteeleSkin
I am mom to two sets of tins except one has gone to live in Heaven. They are close in age which can be quite a handful but they are all amazing.
Oliver is two. He is such a sweet natured child. He always shares with the other kids at home and at groups we attend. He is obsessed with Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling and has loved it from a very young age. Anytime it plays, he dances around like a mad thing. He adores animals and being outside. He is a huge fan of Thomas The Tank Engine and loves to play with his train set.
Noah was his twin but died at three days old. He was a calm baby and good at sleeping. I have a tree planted in his memory and a bench. I like to sit there and talk to him.
Willow is eleven months. She is certainly the boss of the group. Boss of the World if she had her way! She is ridiculously active and doesn't like to be still for long. She is very bright, which I think may be an issue as she grows with her attitude, and met all her milestones early. She is the child I imagine will cause most issues as they grow. Having said all that, she is absolutely adorable and her smiles light the room.
Her twin is Max. He is the happiest baby ever. He has Downs Syndrome. He loves everyone and everything and always has a smile ready for everyone. He loves a good hug and loves to sit on your lap to hear stories being read. He has the sweetest nature and the cheekiest giggle ever. He seems to have a natural ability to make anyone close to him happy.
@brilliantTurtle89 hey there good to see you
HOLY MOTHER OF BABIES
heehee wow hun do you have your hands full. But then again you can do everything all at once and enjoy so so much love from each one of them babies. awww Oliver so does sound like an interesting boy. It is enjoyable to see little ones dancing to music and them finding what they like. Also them discovering movements dancing to music. Oh dear love I'm sorry to hear the loss of one twin. But you made me smile at the fact of a tree and bench in a place where you can talk to your sweet Noah. I believe he is up there in heaven playing around with all the other lil babies
hahaha sweet lil Willow. How adorable to see them so small and be "the boss" and know everything. This reminds me of the cartoon Pinky and the Brain-lol. I do hope she uses that boss attitude to direct the rest of them. Max is God sent I think. He sent you Max to bring happiness and much huggles. I love seeing a chubby baby light up at just about anything. You make sure to give Max a big elephant hug for me ok. Thank you so very much for allowing us to get to know your babies. You are an awesome mom hun
Hi everyone 👋 I am a new mom to my beautiful baby girl Maddyllyn she is 3 months old. Due to her many health issues (most caused by premature birth) she is still in the NICU at a hospital 34 miles from my home. She is a very happy baby and she smiles when me and my husband go to visit her.
Sadly has been diagnosed with a very small amount of brain cancer which is causing extremely slow development.
We love our little Maddylynn and she is such a blessing that we tried so hard for so long to get.
@BabyHedgehog0520
Welcome and big hugs on your baby girl. This is so sad to hear of her cancer in the brain along with other illnesses due to early birth. Some how I believe with the medical care and skin touching as well as talking to them they heal and get better as best as they can. Please is there anything we as a community can support you in?
@RumpleSteeleSkin
thank you for support🙏
@BabyHedgehog0520 I really don
@BabyHedgehog0520
Sending big hugs to you and the baby. So sorry to hear of what you are going through. We are here for you.
@brilliantTurtle89
aww thank you
@RumpleSteeleSkin
What are the names and ages of your children?
i am a teen mother of a 12 month baby girl named candy corn
*Share something you like about this child. Can even be struggles. She always smiling at me and she makes me so happy
@Popcorncandycorn
HI Corn nice to meet you. What a wonderful name you have for your daughter. To have your lil one smile at you ALWAYS melts your heart
@RumpleSteeleSkin
People always say your daughter name is weird and you should have never named your daughter that I love when she smiles at me
@Popcorncandycorn
(I liked watching the aga about the Brown family on Discovvery and loved how they named their daughters Bird and Rain (Raindrop) and boys like Bam...
I like the full name of Rain Brown: "Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop Brown", just beautiful...) so I love the name you chose for your dear daughter too😊🤗
@Popcorncandycorn
I think that is a very creative name.
@Tazzie
Thank you
