oh the mention of playlist reminds me of good and bad things. I got ghosted by someone who used to send me music to listen to. He was my online friend (not in this site). We were getting along very well. I had no intention in a relationship but wanted to have a good connection. He made me feel good about myself. I actually liked the way I felt about us. It went on for almost four months. Two to three songs a day. He had good taste in music. He kept on asking Then I decided to chat to him in my personal platform. He wasn’t excited about it. He asked “do you like flowers? I said yes. He asked what kind? I said white roses. He sent me gif of flowers. He said “will be sending you one everyday”. I got excited. I never had a gesture like that in my life. Being considerate for something I wanted. The next day we spoke. He was odd. I thought it was something at work. Teased him a bit and said “ where are my flowers?” He said “ here they come. You shall never ask again”. I never got the chance to. He ghosted me the day after 😄. I wrote him am email asking if he’s alright, never got a response. The funny thing I didn’t feel sad about it. I think I was too content and convinced this wasn’t going anywhere. I just got attached to good treatment probably. Words like “gorgeous, beautiful, special, wonderful, will cross oceans for you, never let anyone ever not make you feel special, those words. The bad thing about it is that I doubted myself for a moment. I’m too considerate to feelings. Filled with guilt syndrome. Never wanted to hurt anyone and thought I did.

I recognised it, think I've seen it suggested before but listened and red the lyrics, I might have to see what else he has done, I enjoyed it.
I always give a track like that a few listens to see if it stands the test of my time, I had a simply huge collection, the vast majority i sold off or gave to charity shops years ago when my marriage broke down but I've built a large electronic one instead, currently 2 2TB drives, and maybe start a 3rd before long.
i enjoy a few different genres mainly progressive rock and metal, in a couple of FB related groups.
If you give me an idea on what music, rather than songs you like I'll share some.

Had Hozier on random for a while this afternoon, I enjoy blues occasionally as a change, really enjoyed and will revisit.
Vocally he reminds me of Rag 'n' Bone Man, his Human album back in 2017, brings back a lot of painful memories, 'Human' in particular was on the raidio it seemed every time I went to see either my mum in hospital or my Dad in the care home. Sad time but awesome album that has stood the test of time despite it all.

I’m doing well thank you. My Saturday was a mix of relax and chores. Chores won :) Sunday is quieter. Been bribed to go out for donner but declined. Not a fan of crowds. The streets miss me. Ok not in that context! No wonder I’m silent 😆

To be honest, they bore me silly, split box out items in freezer, rinse and repeat... for 8 nights with little sleep, it's not easy, today is just sleep and recover.

Haven’t done much, just work and gym. I had no energy to do anything else. Prepared my meals for the next two days and that’s about it.

Most of the time that's not 'fun' either, I enjoy the social side at the gym and coffee after, went twice today which is normal on nights off but restricted as left ankle not 100 %.
I'm going to watch an ex housemate tomorrow, haven't seen him perform as Elvis for a couple of years and he has certainly gained in confidence so should be good, Trying to arrange pool for next Tues, venue we usually go to is moving premises, just waiting for a couple of responses but looking good.
Mostly it's just gym, walks, reading or listening to music, recently chatting and connecting through Cups has been helping, really noticed how quiet it has been today, particularly lonely, not helped by being too tired to enjoy reading..
I'll be more lively tomorrow 🤪🤪

My hobbies don’t stand a chance when feeling lonely. I can driv for hours and still feel lonely. I can dance amd listen to musyand still feel lonely. This place has made it better by knowing there’s someone who might need to hear kind words.

I used to be an avid reader before my PE's, i still read but it's far more intermittent and not as satisfying as I'm always aware of the need to move to manage my thrombosis risk. Since joining Cups and enjoying the reactions it has made an impact on feeling lonely but also means I'm looking for responses so has created a craving for further connection.
I'm off work until next Wednesday, maybe give us an idea of a time that suits and I'd like to talk more with you, your intelligence and compassion is intriguing in equal measure, I enjoy communicating with you.
