Im from Lahore Pakistan. We are same ethnically so no difference yet India remains intriguing. There is so much I dont know. There is more diversity I see of religion and sub ethnicities and food. U guys r progressing better economically than us. But still a lot of issues I suppose. Hows the parks and architecture - well maintained? Im interested to visit.
Im having family trouble too every other day. Too much loudness and abuse.

@Creamyyy
Hi 😊
I love Pakistan <3 especially the classic Urdu..!! n I'm a muslim, it creates a specific bond to ur place n I'm sry... what's lauhora??
Okay, lemme explain.. sry if it get's longer. I'll try to story it as much as possible 😊💕
So, you're completely right in bigger picture sense but India is not one ethnicity, it’s layers..!! like North Indians, South Indians, Northeast tribes, Dravidian cultures, Indo-Aryan cultures. mmm..!!! it’s more likely a subcontinent stitched together. 😅
There is so much I dont know*
So, india have 22 official languages ❤️
Major religions: Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism
Hundreds of tribal communities
Massive class differences
So, it's like diversity on steroids. Sometimes that’s strength. Sometimes it creates friction :(
So, if u ask me abt foods... every 100 few kilometres 😅😂
Butter chicken and naan in the north. (heavy foods, oily)
Dosa and sambar in the south. (Light food's)
n abt religion: Religion visibly shapes architecture too... temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras often stand close to each other in many cities.
Idk abt economy honestly but i can say this, progress is uneven. Wealth gap is huge. Rural poverty still exists. Infrastructure quality depends heavily on the state and city.
No country in South Asia is clean and smooth. It’s organized chaos 😅 ( no offense 😬)
How’s the parks and architecture — well maintained? 😊
Depends where you go 🌸
In major cities and tourist zones:
Taj Mahal - very well maintained.
India Gate - maintained, busy, patriotic vibe.
Humayun's Tomb - beautifully preserved Mughal architecture.
Urban parks in developed areas are decent, especially in South Delhi, parts of Mumbai, Bengaluru But local neighborhood parks? Mixed quality. Some clean n peaceful. Some poorly maintained :/
It varies by municipal funding and local governance.
n yeah..!! Constant shouting and emotional abuse drains our nervous system:( It really makes me feel trapped. It’s exhausting:( those word's they use hits me more than anything... idk, it sits with me forever. it increases my self-blaming level everyday. so, i decided not to talk to 'em without any purpose - creating boundaries to manage my emotions n unwanted chaos 💗
So, I've seen ur post elsewhere throughout the forum's.. I've thought for chatting with u as i find ur replies warm n comforting ❤️ it's really a pleasure to be here 😊
Sryyy..!!! that's longg 😅 hope u NVM 😅

Every 100 few kilometres foods change*
Thank you for the details. 22 languages oh my!
Lahore is one of the three major cities of Pakistan
Very polluted, Delhi level.
Our architecture isnt well maintained. Parks and tombs from Mughal times are in shabby state. Some mosques are good like Badshahi Masjid.
Lakes have dried in my city.
Northern side of Pakistan is cooler and prettier. Facilities wise I cant vouch for good things.
Karachi has beaches. But theyre kinda dirty too..
There is a lot of chaos in the country - human rights violations. Ordinary people are very resilient though - it amazes me.
Im a sensitive one.... Id like to move to Islamabad if I had to continue living here. Its a good blend of nature and modern urban with a more liberal progressive vibe, from what I have heard.
So happy to meet a fellow Muslim. Ramadan Mubarak. How are the fasts coming?
I keep a lot to myself now to protect myself from home toxicity.

@Creamyyy
Hey hi creamyyy 😊
Sry, i completely forgot abt the penpal.. i just saw ur reply in my thread n remembered this chat 😅 NVM my late reply ❤️
Oh yes, 22 languages, 28 states, 8 union territories actually 😅
Ohh Lahore is a city..!! got u..!! I'm from Tamilnadu (southern side of the country).
Tamilnadu is kinda intense with caste, clan and cultural diversity type things... people here seem very religious but also kind in many ways compared to some other parts of the country ❤️ i guess!!
Hey, i used to think Pakistan was a very well-maintained and clean country, like really hygienic..!! but reading what you wrote kinda changes my perspective a bit. Still, I've always been curious about Pakistan... I'd like to visit someday though 😊
And yeah we do have beaches too. In my place (Chennai) there's a beach called Marina. Some parts can be messy with trash but overall it's maintained and it's one of the most famous spots here.
TBH… sometimes I feel like I want to move out of India someday. Every country has its own problems, and people living inside usually see the harsher side more clearly. Still, one thing I like is that people here are usually welcoming to outsiders.
Me too 😊 it's really nice meeting you ❤️ especially i love Pakistani Ppl's 😄
Abt Ramadan....🙃
Honestly I'm kinda struggling a bit religiously these days... my mind feels messy sometimes. I'm usually very serious about my faith, so even small mistakes make me feel guilty. Recently i made a big mistake and it's been hard to shake that feeling off… sometimes it makes my fasting feel empty 🙃
But I'm trying to stay hopeful and keep going. How about you?? How has Ramadan been for you so far?
Hugs ur way 🤗
@Creamyyy

Hey.. so nice to meet you <3
Which city?
Im from Lahore
@cutegrapes
Same here
I am from Amritsar
Oh wow pakistan!!!... How is it?
@Creamyyy
Amritsar thats interesing because my grandfather migrated from there to come to Lahore at the time of Pakistan formation. I would be interested to know how life in Amritsar looks like.
As for Lahore, I feel irked by the pollution... Its an okay place otherwise. Feels dull to me at times. Im more into nature and less into urbanized places.
@cutegrapes
@creamyyy
Ohh that's interesting
Life is actually very peaceful like there are not many opportunities career wise..but it's nice like there is not much traffic.. and mostly very delicious food....in short life is good..but u can't have good career opportunity there
Ohhh srsly pollution sucks...oh is it ? I thought lahore is really urbanised!!
Less traffic sounds so good. I wanna visit 🩷
