How are you all doing?
I got some troubling news yesterday.... My brother did a DNA test to learn about his ancestry, and he found out he has a different father. Our mom lied about why he looks so different from me and my other siblings for many years. How do you keep such a huge secret for so long? A big part of my brother's life was a lie. My dad found out back in 2004, and continued to love my brother as his son, though mostly from a distance. We all moved a lot, and my dad reenlisted in the army in 2006. My family is so complicated. I do appreciate my dad even more now.
My brother learned that he has Puerto Rican, English, Portuguese, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and African ancestry.
I’m so sorry… Did you talk to your mom about it? What did she say? :(
I have not talked to her about it yet. My brother sent her a lengthy text, and she replied with an explanation and deep regret. She was 16 and was with the wrong people and her own family life was messed up. My brother took her answer to be a cop-out and he wants more of an apology for not telling him the truth.
That’s a really big thing to not know the truth about all your life. :(

Lol, what's wrong with that? Like the good driver that I am, I get in the left lane and speed. There's ligitimacy to that too. It keeps things moving, and going too slow actually causes more accidents. Plus, I don't speed by enough to realistically get in trouble or make people uncomfy

You'd be thanking me when we have extra time. 😜 Also, THOSE people barely exist in the state I live in. People drive like absolute morons here. Driving in Louisiana was like night and day; drivers are soooo much better there.

It passes! On the fence about adding it, but I think I will. It just oddly coincides with some news that I got. Anyway, lyrics are just vague enough to be effective. Everything sounds pretty good. It's got that distinct feeling like the producer cleaned up the rawness too much in hopes for a hit, but that isn't actually a critique of the song or the band.

As for that one, it passes, but I don't really care to have it on my list. It's not that it's a bad cover by any means. I actually saw them in concert and while they were playing that song, someone in the crowd passed out and had to get taken out in an ambulance. (It was an outdoor show in the summer heat). Anyway, I mostly like their older stuff. Back when they were known for being weird and dark.

How are you all doing?
I took a break so that I could focus on my son, get stuff done around the house, and get proper rest. Lewis' sleep schedule has changed again, so he's been going to sleep at 9, and demanding cuddles at bedtime up until about the time he goes to sleep. Bedtime cuddles are the best, so I have nothing to complain about. Sometimes I'm so relaxed that I just want to go to bed without looking at my phone.
I created a new weekly schedule for myself, which is saving my sanity. Instead of doing laundry throughout the week, I decided to do the bulk of my laundry on Monday and one load on Friday. I made Saturday my catch-up day for whatever tasks I didn't get to.
