@Tinywhisper11 I understand how hurtful and uncomfortable it is when bad memories resurface. The more we try to ignore them the harder they seem to knock.
Maybe we can see it as a sign that we're getting stronger 💖 Our minds recognising that we might finally be ready to start healing the hidden wounds.
It's not easy, I know 💙 And I wish I could keep those memories far away from you, from me and from everyone who still feels the pain.
I can't do that but I can be here, holding your hand, making sure you know you are not alone in this 💖💖

I found a new social group to try, my first meeting was last night, and I had a really good time. There were more people my age with similar personalities. Do you guys ever feel afraid of losing who you are? Like the world might slowly blur your values and beliefs or reshape you into something you don't recognise...
@BlueDarkAurora Yes, all the time. It feels like there's no common ground anywhere. Everything we're fed through numerous outlets, desensitizes or emotional charges. Fear or anger. Two of the most powerful emotions... But I may be misunderstanding your question.

The world with its quiet expectations and all the things that are considered normal... When do we start slipping into that space? When do we notice and call ourselves back? What assurance can we give ourselves that we'll hold on to what matters?

Sometimes it's ok to take a break from the world, to reclaim old hobbys/interests that made you once smile💖 or find new hobbys/interests 💖 the world can feel like it's left you behind 🙁 I'm sorry you feel like that🙁 hugs you tightly 💖 you know I'm right here for you we all are 💖 what is that person you want to be?

I'm okay, I'm not lost but sometimes I feel like what if I change in ways I don't want to? I have my own little bubble too but I guess we all have to step out someday. It's alright though ^^ we'll do it with a brave face.

I want to stay the same, I like who I am :) I hope the world doesn't reshape me. But you know what? Your response made me realise that I'll always have a place in your corner, and that'll serve as a reminder that the world cannot destroy our hearts, no matter how much it tries. @BlueDarkAurora I don't think all of the expectations are as quiet and normalcy is subjective. I think that slip is slow and subtle. I'm not sure if we can call ourselves back. Sometimes, maybe we slip too far and there's nothing left to grasp on to, nothing to anchor us. Perhaps that's just me. Maybe our hearts guide us, our morals, our.. values. Maybe those are our assurances.

I have this fear too. Then I also have times where I question myself and push myself to conform. When I saw you express this fear, my inside voice cried no no no please don’t change!
I had something much more eloquent written before, I wish I could remember it now.
I don’t like that life is so much harder on the kindest people. If I could let you into my mind to show you the impact being yourself has had on my life. There have been days where I’ve logged off here after reading one of your messages, and I take a deep breath and think maybe I am ok. I don’t want to make it about me though. It’s more than your support, it’s the way I see you talk to other people, the way you talk about your experiences and the wisdom you share about life. It’s the inspiring insights you have. What your heart wants, the beautiful way you see the world, it matters.

Your question about loneliness gave me the courage to ask this. It's something I've been dealing with and as a result I've drawing a lot of negativity whenever I try to write a response ^^ I totally understand how feelings can be when they don't want to get dressed up in pretty/positive words.

I'm sorry that you understand this, it's hard to know when change is productive and when it's destroying the parts of ourselves that we've always loved. Often that destruction comes from the changes we make to please others or to fit in.
I just want to assure you that You, just the way you are, have a place in my heart. Even if we don't talk much, or even if someday not at all... I'll still remember you as someone who saw so much in me, and not just me but in everyone you met.
I have and will always have a lot of love and respect for you 💖

I’m doing alright, thank you for asking. ☺️ I’m not feeling depressed, so that’s good! I’m in mommy mode. I’ve been feeling a little helicopter ish over my son who has the seizures. I’m trying not to be so overly cautious that I stop him from having fun. I keep waking up from nightmares about it, or I just so happen to wake up but my first thought is to check on him sleeping or something and then my adrenaline keeps me awake. I don’t mean to make it sound like I’m bad though. We’re having a nice summer together. ☺️

I know everyone is different but as a former kid, I think the helicopter-ness is so much appreciated than it seems (maybe not always in the moment) when it comes to situations that feel terrifying.
I understand tho that it can feel like a surrender of freedom but sometimes we just can't help it 💛
It may feel like fear has taken over your mind but really it's just love trying to show up in every way it knows how... To make sure it feels enough, to make sure it's seen enough. I know it'll take some time to adjust to all of this but you'll figure it out 💕

@mytwistedsoul Oh no, you really were spicy that day! Feeling better now? It sounds like you do a lot of work outside. It can catch up to you fast in the summer. I used to love the heat of summer and could tolerate it a long time, but not so much as I’ve gotten older.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas There is a lot of outdoor work and it's been hard to keep up with it all because of all the rain we've been having. The weather this summer has been strange. It's been unbearably humid and storms seem to drop inches of rain at a time! Unfortunately, bronchitis has is now being a problem, but it seems to be getting better. I hope you're doing well!
