If you are lost, so am I. Let's become each other's support.
Greetings, fellow humans,
In a population of over 8 billion, I yearn to have that one penpal with whom I can share my stories, listen intently, and offer my shoulder of support.
Personality-wise, I am an ISFJ-T, prefer deep conversations over superficial ones, and extremely simple by nature.
If this is something that interests you, drop in a comment and we can take this forward.
Regards,
Cheeku

I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!!
Hi! I’m very lost currently and I’d love to be your pen pal. I’d love to hear your stores and be a listing and supporting presence for you.
@Ashley2508
Welcome to the little club of ours. Here, take a little cupcake 🧁 first accompanied with coffee ☕.
How is life at your end, Ashley? What have you been upto ?
@Mrcheeeku
Thank you for welcoming me into this club. Have some cookies 🍪 and milk 🥛 that I brought.
My life has changed a lot for me lately after the loss of my brother about a month ago but now I’m just learning how to continue with life again. I like to think I’m doing okay considering everything that’s going on. How about you? I hope your life’s going a little more lighthearted than mine.
@Ashley2508
Aww Ashley I am incredibly sorry for the loss 😔. The fact that you have still hung on after going through so much speaks volumes of your mental fortitude. So kudos to you for that. I hope you are proud of yourself for being so strong.
Mine is going okay. 10 years of meds, few years of therapy, and counting. Had a decent crying session today with felt relieving.
Anyways, let's not romanticize the hardships. Everyone is going through their own struggles.
Could you share what coping strategies have helped you deal with the difficult time?
Sending lots of positive vibes your way.
@Mrcheeeku
You are incredibly strong for the way you’ve battled through your own struggles. I hope you know that and you keep fighting.
I’ve been reinstated into therapy to process the loss and all of that but I don’t entirely understand it. It just feels like casual conversation. But it’s only 25$ an hour so it’s good to give it a shot and my therapist has a lot of life experience that I can tell.
I’ve been working hard to keep up with my hobbies and keep my health up. I’ve struggled with anxiety for the past six ish years so it kinda prepared me with healthy habits to take a big hit such as this. Journaling helps as it gets my scrambled thoughts put down on paper so I can try to understand myself better. It’s kinda like bouncing ideas off myself and takes less effort than talking to people because I understand what I’m writing where someone else might struggle with understanding what I’m trying to say.
For the first two weeks after the loss I began hitting the gym really hard. TW! I used to struggle with self harm but in two years clean now. Instead of going back to it I just lifted heavier than I ever had before and it really helped my sh urges. Once the funeral hit, it was hard to get back into the gym so I took about a week break but I’ll probably go back soon.
Other than that it’s been a lot of just trying to keep up with my hobbies. An easy one for me is playing video games that don’t require a lot of energy. I’ve also been making plans with my friends and staying in touch with them. Making plans helps remind me that there’s still some good to life even though it can be pretty cruel.

Hey Ashley. We share similar opinions in regards to therapy. I've tried as many as 3 therapists so far, and at times all it feels like I am just beating around the bush during my sessions. However, I've also heard incredible stories about people benefiting from it. I wish you all the best for your therapy sessions. Try going with an open mind and I am sure it will help you deal with the situation. Sending you strength.
Just like you journaling for me has been an absolute anodyne. I write everyday and journal about the tiniest of things. I feel a lot lighter after journaling and it helps me dig deep into what exactly is the cause of concern.
Gymming is good too. I've been wanting to join it. But honestly lack the discipline. So, these days I have been doing bit of jogging and brisk walking on a daily basis.
Also, I am really glad to know you have friends in your real life. Talking to others helps a lot you know. Ever since my depression, I've gone in a shell. As a result I've no one to talk to. But thankfully that's when my journal, my little teddy bear that I hug so tightly help me out.
However, I wish I had someone to talk to. Someone who understood what I am going through.
Btw, how is your week going so far? Any breakdown/relapses have happened? Feel free to share.
I am having a pretty tough time. Been crying quite often for the past two days. I guess I will have to ask my psychiatrist to help me out.
@Mrcheeeku
My week has been pretty okay considering the circumstances. Nothing too bad and I’ve gone out and done some things with my friends and I’ve had no relapses. How’s your week been?
If you’d like to share, what have you been going through lately? I’ve seen and had some good things come out of therapy but switching therapists has been odd to me. It’s like restarting all over again. How’s your experience been lately? What’s got you feeling so down? Of course only if you’re comfortable to share.

Hello Emerald. Cheeku is incredibly pleased to see you. Cheeku has a chocolate brownie for you. Nom nom.
The fact that you are a listener here is a really noble service you are doing. That being said, even listeners need someone to lean on.
How are things at your end? If you feel like venting/chatting, feel free to drop a pm. I am all ears.
