@7Bear7 Okay so… 7 for you, 6 for me .... that’s 13 cups between us! Which means.... assuming we’re not reusing any bags like monsters 😅 we’ll need 13 tea bags. (I am not gud at math so it might be wrong) Also.... I volunteer as tribute to drink at least 6.5 of those. Deal? 😄 and hey...I respect the rebellious last line. Not all poetry needs to rhyme… some just needs to be sipped slowly and be savored.

Miss Puddles the pondering duckling.
She had a quack to spiel, she found a bear and thus prepare a speech for all to feel.
On the shores and not by doors, the duck looked everywhere. Puddles here and pondering there, she never saw the bear.
The bear delights for all is bright, a duck for all his fright. He once was sad for all were scared, but Puddles makes all delight!

Hey Bear, got a kinda controversial question—do you believe in astrology, like horoscopes and all that?
I was talking to someone today who’s really into it. Personally I don’t believe in it but I didn’t want to discourage them talking about it... they clearly love it and horoscopes are a pretty harmless thing to be into. So I just let them enjoy it. But some of the stuff they said actually felt weirdly true, you know? I’m not sure if it’s just confirmation bias or what.
What do you think about it?

So my opinions on this will be slightly biased(as with all humans), it will also be biased because I am a Christian.
From the small amount of study I did with astrology(and similar things) a couple years ago I can't say I really believe in it. If you look at the birth date signs, Leo, Scorpio, Virgo, ect. You will find that when they explain what that sign means it is a broad aspect of every ones personality, but they say that is what you leaaaan towards what you do most often. The reason it will seem accurate most of the time is once you're thinking of yourself doing that kind of action it is what comes to you mind the most. (At least that's what I found on myself, my family, and a friend.)
Next is there just isn't enough evidence for me to believe in it, some of could be coincidences, but it just is too broad and wrong enough that I can't believe in it. That being said I occasionally will find something about it fun to play around with, but I do it in a ohhh thats funny not a this is truth way.
Next I don't know what you believe in, if anything. If you really are thinking it's something accurate don't trust my words do your own study, see where it came from, how it's changed over the years, how people in the past verses today use it. Find evidence and evaluate it. Make you own decision, but try not to base it on feelings and more on evidence.
Lastly do go straight in on your friend trying to disprove them. I would recommend listening and asking questions first, why she likes/believes this, who taught her, when she started, ect. When ever you have a debate about something you need to know as much as you can about what you're debating. After you know more about her beliefs in it then you can decide what to do from there.
I really hope I said this politely I saw trying really hard not to be rude. This is a great question and something that you both can grow from! I wish you luck!

So from that alone I see myself equally between two different ones. I think it is because of how broad the attributes are.

I have a near but not quite phobia of wasps, and a lesser of bees. I was super tiny and was trying to keep all the buzzy things away from me and a bee stung me on the center of my palm. And if I just walk past a bush wasps will swarm me and sting me. But my dad can trim the bush, then water the bush, and walk into the bush and they won't even leave the nest!!!!! 😭
@7Bear7 Okay but WHY do wasps have personal beef with you specifically?? 😭 Like you jus exist near a bush and they’re like “Target acquired".... And getting stung in the center of your palm as a tiny human?? That’s some superhero origin story right there.
So I totally get the almost phobia. I’m lowkey afraid of wasps too, not gonna lie. Bees at least have the decency to sting once because they cant sting more than once but whatever. In the case of wasps?? Vengeful little beasts. No mercy... Just rage.

Yesss I like bees, my heart still goes burrrr around them but I can handle a bee. But wasps man if they are inside I am grabbing the salt gun and a swater.
Yah wasps have beef with me! When I was like 9 I was on the chair starting to watch TV and I lean back to rest, I was flys behind me and gets pinned to my back! 😭😭😭😭

My name doesn't have a great true story, I was going through a rough patch and someone I was recommended 7cups, I didn't care about my username except for that I didn't want my name and I wanted it to feel like me. So I choose the nickname I have had since I was like 6 months old.
@7Bear7 That’s such a great and true story! Bear is literally you. I bet you were an adorable kid with the cutest little adventures. Kids named Bear .... they have epic stories (maybe that’s a stereotype... but hey, sometimes stereotypes are true... and I say it definitely is in your case) You are a curious kind of person!

I definitely had some adventures! We have quite a bit of land, my grandparents as well so I would go exploring in the 'Forrest' and stuff like that. I had amazing times with my sisters they are the best!!

@7Bear7 That sounds lovely, Bear. It was kind of the same for me too. My grandparents raised me for a while... they had this land, a farm and a cabin in the woods. It was amazing! Summers felt like pure adventure especially with my siblings. My parents were divorced and we were all in different boarding schools during the year but summer brought us together at our grandparents’ place. Those were such fun times... we were all wild little things. I have older brothers and a sister… and now, a baby brother too (he’s a half sibling but he’s 100% ours in every way)
You grew up with sisters, right? What was that like?

Hmmm, well my parents are generally amazing. They were tough on us but it was for us so I get it now. I love both my parents to the moon and back.
My sister's I love them more than anything. My oldest sister has health problems and has had them for the past 9ish years so almost half my life. She is the best drawing/painting artist I know and I love hangout with her! The second oldest was the one who I had most of the outside adventures with she is short but tougher than nail, I would know nails break on me more than she does😭. She is 2 years older than me so we were best friends, we played with hot wheels and Barbies. We watched TV I was always trying to read what she reads so a lot of my favorites books I only read because of her.
when we both hit teens second oldest and I we argued all the time over everything. But we still were best friends that just got mad at each other mor often then not. The I kinda did something wrong to her and well it's never quite been the same. We are still pretty close and I love her to death and what I did is in the past, she may even not remember but I just can't forget.
Sorry I rambled on for a long time, I love my sister more than anything, I wouldn't hesitate to live or die for them! :)

And hey, whatever happened in the past… love like that doesn’t break. It bends, maybe, but it holds.... Also.... sisters are a gift to the world. I love my brothers but (I probably shouldn’t say this, I’ll get kicked for it) my younger sister is my favourite. I think it’s mostly because we grew up together and shared that bond. And of course the girl talks. She’s one of the strongest people I know and on the days I can’t manage positive self talk, she’s the one who steps in with all the positivity and hope. She can be annoying af but honestly?.... that’s part of what I love about her. Yeah, so I get it.
As for my brothers...they’re super calm in public but incredibly loud at home. You need a lot of energy to keep up with them. But the best part? On your low energy days, they somehow become the most caring people.... in this chill... nonchalant way. It’s hilarious and so sweet to watch. And my baby brother… he’s like a little version of me. Curious and always learning new things. Whenever I’m home... I love teaching him stuff and answering his endless questions. I’m obviously his favourite sibling... because... duh. I’m the coolest! I buy him books and encyclopedias which are his absolute favourite things in the world.

Next my sisters are the bestest ever! Tho every once in a great while I need some space but now we are adults (for the most part) we naturally have that space. I can only hope I am a great little brother to them, even tho I annoy them sometimes.

I get that most people are more comfortable with their own gender but after growing up around mostly women and my sisters friends treating me better then my guy friends(for the most part tho there are exceptions) I tend to be more comfortable around women then men. Sibling bonds are definitely something! Having a older sister definitely has some perks! They definitely didn't put makeup on me, tho they don't really if ever use makeup sooooo. I don't think they even own makeup like I am so sure that if they do I would like fall over from shock! Dressing me up? They did some especially when I was a lot younger, tho it was never something extreme. They both have some major tomboy attributes while still seeming girly, if that makes sense. And then theirs me, I am like the opposite of a tomboy, like a tomgirl? Femboy? I don't know what to call it??? Anyway I have some extremely masculine traits (decently strong, martial arts, blacksmithing, farm care, ect) but I also am a have a lot more feminine qualities then most guys, or at least ones in Texas. Soooooooo I don't know?
P.S. and yes I have worn a skirt, both of my free will and because they made me.

@7Bear7 First of all... your message is such a vibe—no weirdness detected, I promise. And if I do detect any, I will be the first to say it (to you, of course) because I’m straightforward like that.
Also “equally uncomfortable around both” had me low key chuckling because… same sometimes?? 😂 Social dynamics are weird and shift so much depending on the energy of the people around. You described it really well.
Growing up with brothers, I kind of picked up some masculine traits...like I’m really strong when it comes to handling things myself, taking the lead, competitive and all that. But then I dress super girly... and I look very girly too. So people get surprised when I don’t back down from a challenge 😄
Also I loved the way you described your siblings and your own vibe—“tomgirl” and “femboy” both totally make sense in the context of what you shared. Honestly you just sound like someone whos embraced all the different parts of yourself and thats really awesome. Whether it’s martial arts and blacksmithing or skirts and forest vibes, it’s all you, and that’s what matters.
Also—blacksmithing?! I didn’t know that about you! What do you do exactly? Is it more like tool making or metal art? (I’m so out of my depth here... I only know blacksmiths from fantasy stuff like sword forging. So… do you make Excaliburs?? 😆)
And lol I don’t wear makeup every day...but I have stuff for special occasions. I’m actually kind of obsessed with buying cosmetics (not necessarily wearing them though 😅) I have tons of perfumes and lipsticks. I’m definitely very into fashion and styling .. like ..I love to look polished when I go out , you will never catch me in a hoodie outside (And yes, My profile pic is a girl wearing hoodie but thats not me... And yes I’m also a nerd… but not the Netflix kind lol)
PS- I feel like you probably looked awesome in that skirt, tbh.
