AvPD...AMA
I was diagnosed AvPD last year.. For those of you that don't knowAvPD is AvoidantPersonality Disorder. We often have members that are dealing with a diagnosis and I thought speaking candidly about my experience could be beneficial. I'm also hoping posting this thread might help me overcome some issues.
HI @HopeWire ! Thank you for making this AMA, if you are still up to answering questions I?d love to ask some.
1- What is it like to live with AvPD?
2- My sister was recently diagnosed with this, and I would love to hear some tips on how I can best provide her my support and understanding. What things I can do to best support someone with this diagnosis?
3- What things help you cope with this?
Lastly I wanted to say that this link informed me a lot about this illness yet it?s very hard to find information about it so I was wondering what other resources or places to learn more about how to support people with AvPD you had and could share :D
