BPD has ruined my life.

Today my therapist suggested she might not be able to help me and asked if I would consider trying another therapist. I started seeing her because I still have trust issues with my therapist of four years who only diagnosed me with BPD after I asked her to. I feel like if I had known sooner, I wouldn't have burned my last relationship to the ground.

I told her I'm grateful to have someone to talk to but I don't think any amount of therapy is going to change my situation. All I want is my life back but my ex has shown no interest in speaking to me, let alone having a relationship. I don't think I'll ever be truly happy again and I'm just learning to live with that because the alternative is worse.

hi there, borderline here as well. it's common that our behaviors are difficult and often challenging for therapists to deal with. I'm sorry it feels like everything sucks for you. I understand you. I too often feel like I am forever just stuck in the same endless circles of bullshit. you are not alone.

Hello everyone! I'm not sure I have BPD but it's very likely. The good news is, after being in therapy for decades and trying all sorts of therapies I believe i found out why things never worked for me. Moreover I found the way out. The best news is that it doesn't necessarily need a specialist to get rid of our problems.

In simple words, all we need is each other. To share our feeling and struggles and the darkness within us. We need to find support from others who went through the same experiences and therefore can understand, validate, acknowledge our struggles and offer their support.

I'm looking for others who believe in this and are willing to go through this healing experience.

I'll start by sharing valuable information from top researchers on the topic about the cause of our misery and about the way out.

Anyone interested?

As a start I'd like to tell everyone in this group: I'm sorry you're feeling these powerful destructive feelings. It's not your fault, and you deserve to have a good life full of happiness, love, meaning, and everything you want and desire. You're doing well, you're doing your best and I'm proud of you. You didn't do this to yourself, it was done to you.

I wish you a happy day :)

@janequartz I feel for you, I really do. I keep being denied by therapists once I tell them I have BPD. It stings so bad and it's not fair that we have to constantly be referred to other therapists who may or may not even help us! I know it's literally part of our disorder to have black and white thinking, (like how you said you'll never be happy again), but it's absolutely possible to be even without your ex. It hurts to accept the breakup, but the sooner you do, the sooner you can heal. The more you try to reach out, the more you'll be disappointed. If they wanted you back, they would reach out to you first, I promise.
