Hi guys. Recently my provider brought up the face that she thinks I might have borderline personality disorder. I have done some research and I seem to agree. Does anyone have any helpful tips with dealing with this or know of any support groups for people with bpd? Thanks in advance (:

How do you feel on a daily basis so i can see how it affects you?

On a daily basis it’s like a roller coaster. I have a lot of mood swings and a lot of trouble with relationships because of my fear of abandonment. I have a lot of impulsive actions with it as well. At first I thought it was bipolar but my doctor thinks it’s more borderline personality disorder.

@positivepolly1010 Hi there. Slightly smiling The things you've described (e.g. mood swings, relationship difficulties, fear of abandonment, impulsivity) do sound like they fit with some typical themes of BPD experiences. Probably nobody here would be able to say for sure whether you have any particular diagnosis, but whether you have BPD or not, it may be that resources related to BPD could be helpful or feel like they resonate.

There are a lot of self-help resources online for dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which is one of the main treatments for BPD. Here's one page that I was able to find:
https://www.dbtselfhelp.com/index.html

7 Cups also has a self-help guide on managing emotions that takes a lot of inspiration from DBT:
