Planning a loose future
Thinking of the future at times. And of course we have no control and shouldn't hold too tightly on to plans for the future mbut I'd love to adopt. I think it may not be possible with BPD though even though I think I'd be a great parent because I'm awesome with children and some teens. But maybe I'm wrong and BPD would make it hard. Do any of you have parenting or adoption experience and mind sharing please?
@Joyfullife2021 It's great that you want to adopt. Maybe you would find more answers in support groups, I have seen some BPD groups on Facebook. Your seeking guidance to be a good parent already shows that you can be one. Wishing you good luck with that ![]()

Hi--I don't have any parenting experience, but I found a page that might be helpful that has links to some articles/videos about being a parent while having BPD.

I also think it's pretty awesome that you're thinking about adopting and that you're trying to anticipate possible challenges before jumping into it.
