hope??? idk
is it possible to create meaningful relationships—especially w ur fp—if u have bpd?? ive just recently found out i have it and its been next to impossible trying to hold on knowing that this will never go away.
Hey, I understand very much how you feel I guess. I am diagnosed with Bpd and ptsd and knowing that my mental illness never go away I kept struggling with relationships because I thought I’d never be able to truly love someone and be loved. But if you work on yourself, start reflecting your actions and emotions and start therapy to cope with bpd, there is much hope you can live a happy and fulfilled life with relationships that last. I never thought I could be loved with my mental illness but actually it is possible. My boyfriend understands why I’m acting the way I do sometimes and that not everything that I’m saying is true or meant. Maybe Bpd doesn’t go away in a lifetime but we can keep reflecting and working on ourselves to being able to truly and deeply love someone.
Hello, Yes indeed its possible to create meaningful relationships, just because we have bpd it doesnt mean that we can’t learn to differentiate between our thoughts/feelings and what we ought to do in a specific situation. With bpd emotions are on a turmoil but with therapy you will learn how to accept them without them controlling you, and your relationships will gradually transform to the better. Be careful of black and white thinking, its a bpd symptom and thinking that its next to impossible is by itself one way bpd can express itself. Theres always hope and anything can be dealt with :)
@prisongraveyard It's not easy to build meaningful relationships, especially when you experience volitile emotions & unstable moods. You're trying your best and I'm proud of you for that. Thank you for sharing.
