i honestly hate that i have a favourite person . it s u c k s being so emotionally dependent on someone . i hate that the smallest things can make me so upset that i wanna off myself, and i hate that he feels responsible . because it's not his fault . i'm the one with the messed up brain . i wish i could find s o m e t h i n g as fullfilling as he is for me . i wish hobbies and interests were the reasons i live, not him .
I don’t really have good advice rn tbh, but I just wanted to respond since most popele probably don’t. I hope you manage to get less attached to him eventually. I know it’s gonna be hard but maybe try doing a bunch of sports or something that would take up a lot of your time to get your mind off him the most you can :)

That makes sense. 💜 Having a favorite person creates all of this emotional dependence where if something really small happens with that person, it feels really upsetting and destabilizing. And you wish there were something else you were able to pour yourself into that would feel as satisfying or absorbing as that favorite person.
I wonder if maybe there might be some point at which it feels like that emotional dependence is so volatile/overwhelming that it doesn't feel like it's worth it, even though it's sometimes fulfilling. Sort of like, "I'd rather dedicate myself to something/anything else that is more stable and within my control."
Hi I'm really late to this, I just joined this but I'm also having problems with having a favorite person. It sucks having a favorite person and it's exactly what I'm dealing with right now. If you want to talk about it with me I am here. I am new and I was looking for someone to talk to about having a favorite person.
