Anyone else in a similar boat

I was diagnosed with BPD in 2014.

Fast forward to July 2026, updated diagnosis from a psychiatrist.

BPD is still in play, now it's taken a back seat while ADHD and General Anxiety Disorder sit in the front. From the research I did with Google, I have an interlocking trifecta loop, meaning all 3 tend to feed into each other. The ADHD was no surprise, have had ADD since childhood (now lumped into the ADHD category).

It's been a challenging couple of weeks since hearing the update.

Wondering if anyone else is dealing with these 3 mental illnesses all together?

Do you have any advice or suggestions to navigate? I'm already on Vyvance for the ADHD

I hope you get the support you need 🥰

Hi there 💜 I'm curious about what that trifecta loop looks like from what you found online.

My guess would be that maybe all three of them are connected through anxiety? (E.g. BPD is responding to a lot of ongoing threats and produces a steady stream of anxiety, and then that anxiety creates restlessness that contributes to the ADHD experience of having trouble focusing/relaxing.)

That makes me think that maybe the path through would be some combination of 1) managing anxiety as it arises, and 2) trying to work on the underlying cause or what's happening under the surface that's producing all of the anxiety.

Did the psychiatrist have any thoughts/suggestions after providing the new diagnosis?
