Don’t be scared, confidence is all you need. Take your time, and get support from yr friends. If you ever need one, talk with listeners. Even in BOD diagnosis… take care

Hi!

Accepting your diagnosis is the first time for healing. For me, it was the only diagnosis that I struggled so much to accept. There is so much stigma around it, but since you are aware there numerous way to find functional ways to eliminate the severity of your symptoms and the difficulties you are facing. You are not alone 💪

Hello Xkhszy,

I was just diagnosed about 2 months ago - I have had severe PTSD, I lost my son in 2023 Car accident and well BPD was every where have had it probably all of my life.

I was scared now I am just reading and coping and learning that this is somewhat controllable, there is no medication unless you want to be in a fog.

I have a great book it is call the 4 questions - I will get the suther tomorrow.

this author took 4?basic questions after you or someone else interacts with you and before you respond you ask yourself the 4 questions.

in a nutshell hehe the questions are simpl it’s just you thinking through what has been said, why it was said, does it effect you and how would you handle the same information if you said it.

I discovered this ; most of the crap people want to give you crap about m, if you really think it through ask the questions you will come up with what I did.

Its not my issue it isn’t anything I said if I let it effect me then that is my problem. If you just consider the source and the information if it’s not relevant to you or going to push you over the edge if you interact then just say nope not my issue and walk away. It will get easier but it works

Those questions sound really powerful. 💜 Like, other people might sometimes say things that would be scary or hurtful, but there's this new ability to pause and check "is this something I need to pay attention to?"--and if not then the conclusion becomes "this isn't my problem and I don't need to hold onto it or do anything with it". So then you're not quite as much at the mercy of what other people say and you're able to protect yourself.
