@QuietMagicHow are you feeling today?
I feel like I am just facing my limits, and they are great.
What is your favorite thing about yourself?
I seem to have unending drive. I’m not sure if it comes from God or from me having PTSD or taking vitamins and supplements or where.
@purpleTree4652
That drive sounds like it would be pretty helpful, whatever the cause may be.
When you say you're facing your limits, do you mean like you're encountering obstacles and it's a bit of a struggle? (Just want to make sure I'm understanding.)
@QuietMagic, By limits, I mean, what my capabilities are and are not.
Im doing better this morning, by head feels more clear :D.
My favorite thing about myself is my smile.
@miichiie
I'm glad your head feels clear and that things are feeling better today. I hope you're able to use that smile a lot.
thank you <3
I am feeling the effects of being on the emotional rollercoaster but taking it one step at a time
My favorite thing about myself is my intelligence.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR BODY? I would have to say is my heart. I have a giving heart. I feel that if i have something that might help you i will give it to you. I would let a homeless person crash on my couch in the middle of winter. I would do whatever i can to help that person too.
How am I feeling... absolutely FURIOUS, struggling to contain it, overwhelming feeling of being trapped and mugged off. Feeling to simply match their disgusting ways with equality disgusting behaviour, doing my absolute best to remain the better person.
what do I like most about myself? My capabilities to achieve when I actually apply myself with full commitment.
@Pointlesswords
Yeah, that sounds super frustrating. People are doing disgusting things and you're trying to be the better person and avoid doing anything equally awful in return, but it's so hard to contain it.
That's a nice feeling to believe that if you want to do something and try at it, you're able to do it.
Hi guys. Newly active here again. I've found myself struggling and needing people at the moment. It would be great to hear from you!
@Hopeisreal21
Hi, welcome back! Sorry that you're struggling. Feel free to schedule a chat with me if you'd like to talk through things.
Thank you! I may just do that.
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I've been struggling with my thoughts. Everyday something negative comes up and whether I fully believe it or not, I can't seem to get them out of my head. At least I'm trying to work on it and hopefully this app helps.

Hi, welcome! Hope you're able to find what you're looking for here. In addition to the forums, you can also chat 1-on-1 with a listener or use the group support chatrooms if either of those appeal to you. Feel free to share some more about what kinds of thoughts you've been experiencing, either here or in a new thread.
I find myself expecting things from my significant other but I also realize that expecting stuff is not a good trait to foster. If she sleeps in, I end up getting upset or self conscious that she doesn't want to talk to me or if she doesn't introduce me to her friends then I can't help but feel like she's embarrassed of me. On one hand I do believe that but on the other one I realize that it's 2021 and her life shouldn't be run around mine. My father was like that and I know that I don't want to be.
@CTracey859
I see, so when your significant other does certain things (e.g. sleeping in, not introducing you to people), you feel like there's a possibility those actions might be her subtly expressing certain feelings (e.g. not liking you, not wanting to talk to you, feeling embarrassed by you).
You're not 100% sure if that's how she actually feels, but you also can't rule it out. It's something you're afraid of, so you're pretty alert to signs indicating that that might be happening. It jumps out and grabs your attention if something has happened that might suggest that that fear is being realized.
The other thing you've mentioned is that you feel like if let's say those negative/pessimistic interpretations were true, it still might not be fair to her to expect her to change how she feels or what she's doing. You want to respect her freedom to be her own person.
So it's like there's this conflict between 1) wanting to respect her freedom to be herself, vs. 2) wanting reassurance that she feels positively toward you. The question is, "What am I allowed to expect of her?"
I honestly don't know, Im worried about driving her away with my constant expectations or problems. That leads me to ignore some things I have a problem with to avoid the argument.
Intelligence is a pretty useful quality to have!
