@QuietMagic
Hello! Well i'm doing pretty good but the heat is limiting what I can do and also I sprained my ankle yesterday which has limited me even more.. But life is good isn't it?!?! 🌲
@AsherTree
Hi there, sorry about the ankle! I hope it feels better soon and that the heat subsides over the coming weeks. 💜 Do you usually like doing a lot of outdoor/active leisure stuff?
@QuietMagic yes, but i'm very careful.. What happened was some dogs got in a fight close to me and my partner and she fell on my foot. Luckily it's improving and i'm getting better.. Thank you for your support QMagic..🌲
@QuietMagic
My week has been exhausting 💛
I received some bad news, that I'm struggling to process right now.
I have just been so busy lately that it's one more thing I cannot handle right now.
So I'm trying to get some rest before I have to accept the reality of it.
Thanks for always checking in quiet, you are a diamond 💚

@Amanda84
I am sorry that you are having to deal with this. You are such a kind caring person. I wish only good outcomes for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
@caringShoulder1357
@Amanda84
Oh no, sorry to hear that. I know you've been stretched pretty thin for a while, so I bet that's kind of a "straw that broke the camel's back" situation where things felt bad to begin with and then got worse 💜
That sounds like the right call to give yourself permission to not stare all of the scary/awful stuff in the face all at once... and to stagger/time it based on when you feel like you have the resilience/energy to tolerate it
(I liked seeing the massive thread of "let's cheer Amanda up" 😊)
@QuietMagic
Thank you 💕
My week has been a mixed bag. I have had a few disrespectful encounters lately which haven't been nice and I have had a painful migraine attack so trying to get through that but otherwise ok.
A truth which I have realised is that dealing with challenges isn't nice in the moment but would be a lesson learnt in the furture.
@Harmony8682
Oh no, I remember you mentioning a couple weeks ago that you had migraines periodically. 😢 Sorry that's been happening.
Questions that come to mind (feel free to ignore any/all that aren't interesting/relevant):
1) Were the disrespectful encounters with people that you're having to be around regularly? Are you still anxious/upset or processing what happened with those?
2) When you mention lessons learned in the future, do you mean like dealing with challenges now makes the future easier (because you carry that experience with you)? Or something else?
Thank you, they are a pain my migraine is starting to get a bit better since my original post luckily.
1) No i'm not around the people all the time. Eventhough I have processed the reasoning why it may have occured. I am still annoyed that it happened in the first place.
2) Yes that's right, dealing with challenges now can help you deal with things in the future. I'm not quite at that stage with this weeks events , but I have found this from past experience. Not to say negative events in my life haven't affected my self-esteem but you gain inner strength also when it happens again I have found.
@Harmony8682
Glad that the migraine isn't as bad 💜
That makes sense, like even if you can reason about what might have caused something to happen, it can still feel really awful. (I can think of experiences where I'm able to switch perspectives and understand pretty clearly the logic of why someone else is doing what they're doing and how it makes sense from their side... but then I can still switch back to my own side and feel really upset or angry and recognize that from my POV their actions have adversely affected me and I care about that.)
It does kind of feel like you're leveling up if you're able to pass through the other side of an experience--and then the next time it happens, it doesn't go exactly the same (or the process feels smoother).
Thank you for checkin with me😊 it's appreciated your forum posts are helpful.
@QuietMagic
How has your week been so far?
was not on for few days but week been some what good today i was able to go to church not been able to do that in many month so was real blessing and i needed to get out around other people
🩷 What is a truth that you've realized at some point that has felt helpful?]
that boundaries be good thing to have as it helps one to not be walked on all the time many times it also keep you from getting hurt too
@stormieandpaws
Hey, that's great you were able to go to church 💜 Was that possible because the heat has been better, appointments have happened, and the fainting isn't as much of a worry now?
Boundaries are so nice to have
@QuietMagic
for me it more about feeling how i am doing any time i want to go out some days better then other days this morning i was not as dizzy as i been in the morning was why i was able to go to church i am blessed that the staff at church is amazing so is the bus driver he did the lift for me so did not have to walk up the bus steps then when he droped me off he did not leave until i was inside my apartment think that why i could feel safe and cared about that i was able to go to church
my physical health is getting worst but my mental and emotional health mostly good the doctors still not know what behind the dizziness so more appointments this week
i do my best to stay cheerful and strong i think my faith what helps me the most
@stormieandpaws
Gotcha, so the dizziness is still happening (and appointments are ongoing) but there are some days that are better where you're able to do things like going to church
That's so nice that everyone at church is helping and that the bus driver stayed and made sure you got inside safely!
@QuietMagic
yes the dizziness still going on my therapist looked up the dizziness and found out it common in people with fibromyalgia so that could be what going on and why they not been able to find answers in all the tests this also means i have to just live with it maybe there could be meds that could help i be asking doctors that too
some days better then others with the dizziness and even with how bad the pain be too always in physical pain but some days it not as bad as other days too
so yes ongoing more appointments' too
@QuietMagic
💜 How has your week been so far? The last week was busy and difficult, due to making lots of plans to socialize, donating plasma 2x, and taking 2 days to refill an important medication for my physical health. I also found that time passed WAY quicker than usual as a result. I had to reschedule two mental health treatment team appointments, which threw me off.
🩷 What is a truth that you've realized at some point that has felt helpful? That learning how to love myself is so important and healing over time, I do not need anyone else's love to feel important, included, and valued. God loves me and I am learning to practice self-acceptance/self-love.
If you prefer not to answer these questions, feel free to say hello, ask for a hug, or share anything else that's on your mind. 💚
Side note: got a few potential LEADS for EMPLOYMENT from a job fair last Wednesday and waiting to HEAR BACK about the hiring process/next steps. Hoping I land a job at a temporary staffing agency, a behavior analyst position, or something through Instawork (temporary staffing, looking for event planning, food and beverage, etc. at local arenas/venues). I also started dating my best friend, Todd, after being friends for almost a year. It doesn't feel real yet, but I am so happy we confessed our feelings and he reciprocated <3
@safeandsoundta
That makes sense that when you're that busy with so many things and juggling a lot of plans, time just kind of gets eaten up by all of the responsibilities/activities 💜
That's such a big change the idea of "even if I don't have love from [X person], my life and my feelings matter and I want to be happy and feel good about myself"
Those employment leads sound pretty diverse (behavior analyst vs. event planning). Hope that some of those leads respond back and you're able to get something
Congrats on the relationship! 🥳 That sounds like such a big deal--did you kind of expect him to reciprocate when you confessed, or was it more like "I feel this way and need to say it even if I'm not 100% sure how he feels"?
