Freedom & Patience
Tried something different with this one. I realised it is kind of prophetic, I'm just thinking of how entropy would affect reason if reason is a fact of reality.

The way forward once set in stone
Slowly in time it becomes clear
That we will be unbounded
Conscious thought hones
We lose all fear
Eventually unfounded
Choices are prone
To take us here
Completely ungrounded
The decay of reason
Allowing true freedom
If one knew all
How could one wait
Like seeing the finish
One must learn pace
So live in the moment
For it is our foundation
A place to rest
Before bathing in the fountain

I've been kind of thinking on these lines lately. It helps me to describe it like a video game. Like, there's a lot of places that you can go back to anytime, but some parts have storyline that takes you to places you'll only see once. In real life, I know what it's like to get caught up in goals, and think about where I'll be when I get there, but literally every moment we live in has this weird ethereal quality, where that moment only exists in that moment, and each one affects the literal future and our reasoning of the past. That might just be my take from it, but it reminded me of the same logic I've been on.
Sorry, it cut out part of this. The first part is supposed to say I feel like this one builds up really well, and I love the feeling it invokes!

That is a very interesting line of thought! I like the comparison to video games.
In a game like Baldur's Gate 3, you have a lot of option to roam around, decide the order of events. But eventually your choices will lead to a kind of destiny. I think life is much like that. It feels like determinism with free will mixed in. Seems a contradiction, I'd love to resolve it one day.
Each moment has potential for choice. Makes me feel truly free.

Don't feel bad if you're foggy. You'd be surprised what goes over my head. I just spent about half an hour looking at a map, trying to figure out which direction to go, left or right...
This poem was inspired by thinking of how everything seems to break down over time. I wondered what it would be like if reason itself broke down. I think it would feel completely free. But there's no rush to get there. What we have now is good and necessary.
