Realisation

I didn't know where I was going
I had no intention
I had no dream, no desire, no knowing
But I stumbled in the dark
And found something real, stark

Truth is worse than your worst nightmare
It will haunt your dreams
You will want to forget
But it will shine

It set me free
I wept so hard, I trembled
I couldn't believe it, but I see
Without it, I live in illusion, disassembled

God forgives us. He forgives me
But I wonder
If we had the power
Could we forgive God?

Ooh, liking this one. Really well thought and put together. A bit mysterious too. I also can't help but really like the last line. Not just would we forgive God, but contingent on if we actually had the power to do so. Especially for a being that people would usually associate with perfection. Not everyone thinks that way though.

Anyway, for humans, it seems to me that forgiveness is a weirdly abstract concept for a word that's thrown around. It has no actual power to absolve someone of their actions, and yet it can be so necessary for both parties.

I love a bit of mystery. It keeps things alive.

Forgiveness, a word, a feeling, a notion. Your insight is profound. Something intangible, ethereal, almost not real, yet it shapes lives. It changed mine.

The uncertainty!

The old montage, the truth shall set us free!

Sometimes the true however is uncomfortable!

We don't wish to face it!

Acknowledge it!

Hear it!

But it's only when the light is shone on the truth, that we can freely face what we need to.

It's freeing!

We no longer need to run when the truth isn't evasive!

It gives us an inner strength we didn't know we had!

Will we forgive God suggests that we haven't trusted His role in the first place!

💜💕

Your poems always make me wander 😁

I love all the exclamations, haha xD makes your words feel alive.

If we were suddenly blessed with complete certainty, the foundations upon which we dream would look broken, insufficient. As truth emerges, it becomes clear what was wrong, and where we can make positive change. But a relentless stream of truth is like blowing up all that we knew.

While truth is like water, sustaining us and making things better, it corrodes things. It wears down even rocks, something we like to think as unchanging and strong.

The truth can be empowering, but it can also be a force of destruction. Perhaps the most powerful one. If we knew the truth, perhaps we would dismantle all our bombs. Truth, the bomb that explodes explosive devices.

It is freeing. Because when things are clear, you can better navigate the environment. But if we learn too much at once, we might have too many things to choose from and get overwhelmed.

I'm happy I can stir you ^^ I love thinking. Thank you for taking time to reflect on this. It means a lot.

I think if we look, we will find we are all walking similar paths. I feel I know you a little more by reflecting on my own life journey, and how you relate.

Another brilliant write, it begs a question so hard, that I'm afraid to answer....

ONly i know this, God gave us the freedom and will, it's upto us to turn it into joy or sorrow and neither is harmful, that alone is enough.
