trigger warning for self harm, blood and  others

tears of red and scars

 the pain within come out

not tears from the eyes

but crying in another way

fear of being hurt why no tears from the eyes

but as the wound and blood drips out

drips one drop at a time onto a white rose

staining it red as the blood goes on it

why has fear of punishment came to this

why is crying from the eyes so scary

but as the drops of blood go onto the white  rose

tears they be a cry for help a cry from deep wounds

but even after no longer tears of red the scar be there

scars that tell a story of pain and fear

scars that tell of the brave soul

that still is here  even after all the pain and hurt

scars that are not to be seen as failure  at all

but to be seen as a warrior  wounds with in  real battles

so even long after the self harm no more being done

the scar a reminder of the many battle one fought in the past

the tears of blood onto the white roses was due to fear and pain

they was as real as tears from the eyes

no one can see the pain and fear that was there

but now  the scars still can tell of the pain and fear

look at the scars as battle wounds

not as bad things but as one being brave within the abuses

Thanks for sharing.. That was a wonderful poem.. I don't encourage SH but your poem makes a valid point.  There are other forms of tears in a way.. Even in the darkness the poem shines light on the realities of SH. This world is often tragic,  i'm glad you have a interest in poems to get you through your day.🌲

@AsherTree

thank you  i use to hate the scars from self harm i use to do but now see that the scars tell a story too at one point i use to self harm daily  have not did that in years yes i still at times struggle  with self harm thoughts  but most times they not lead to self harm at all yes there been times that they have but not  as bad as it was years ago  as i learned different  ways to cope with things more healthy ways but i no longer look at the scars with shame and hate as i see they tell a story of their own

now if others see them offline i tell the truth about how i got the scars also that one who see scars on others should not put the person down but should hear what they say with compassion  offering  help when they can too

Thank you for sharing all this.. I got to experience SH from your perspective and I was moved by this..

I don't judge others with scars at all.. it's still a person,  a human being with hopes and dreams who just wants to live a proper life..

I wish you well and I hope you find salvation or what you want out of life..🌲

Some people have been abused so much they are shocked when somebody's nice to them. Life isn't supposed to be that way.. i'm doing great thank you🌲
