Om Namah Shivaya
Offering Dry Wood

I don't remember my

past lives, I

Recall my
Past living deaths
From this life

The bungled fall, my

After many weird trips, my

Mistaken identities, my
Too many urns.

I wish I

Was Shiva.

I could try

To revive, I
Would be a Cosmic Doctor, I

Would bring back life, I

Would save someone
From (the absence of) dry

Or wet (or any) kind of breath, He
Shows

There is no reincarnation,

But the un-birthing of death.

Thank you, woke up feeling kind of off/down/wanting to just sleep the day away, which isn't an option. I loved the flying freedom of your poem, not to mention the urge surfing qualities, good reminders to soar through pain, if we have to, and I like the idea of it being a freedom flight if that makes sense, the flight to/through the abyss is the very way out of the abyss.

Here is a poem I wrote. I think it is very motivational.

Obstacles

You have passed the start line

And you're losing breath fast.

You're out of energy

And you passed your breaking point.

You look ahead

And see the finish is near

But you don’t think

You can make it pass.

No matter what goal you set

Or what path you take

They will always be obstacles

In your way.

They can make you lose hope.

And the end of the rope.

They can take your breath away

And crush your heart.

They can make tears roll down the cheek

And bring you down.

They can take your soul away

And cause so much pain inside.

You just got to

Keep your head up

And keep on pushing

Pass the obstacles

Until you reach your goal.

@Songbird2625 I know your with the angels in heaven above,I ask them to bless you and send you my love. A part of me was snatched away on that very fateful day, one-day when my time has come I'll get to hold you in my arms again, but till that day I hope you know I miss you son and love you so. ❤

Love this thread idea! I host the Writing for Wellness huddle and it has helped me get back to regularly practicing my passion for poetry - in our last meeting the idea was to listen to the song and use it to write something up (any form) and I loved tuning into some of my values to get this:

Someone for Everyone
We all have dreams and beliefs that drive
A meaning to our lives.
To me, success involves touching just one.
Because it's one that leads to others.
A life of kindness and no strings attached,
Many dreams to follow with one main thing to catch
Love and humanity that lasts.
Forever because you’ve touched someone,
Made some things, and modeled more.
You can be the tide that rises bigger,
Each time it touches the shore.
Never dying or fading away,
For it's our actions that matter and are here to stay.

@Songbird2625 love the title of your poem and how it relates to the butterfly concept/general awakening about freedom and that its us who can start flying with it. The resilience theme is powerfully presented.

Here's my poetry :-

The sparkling stars make me remember my dreams,

Calling me in deep dark nights the appealing moon often screams,

Fulfilling my wish is not a piece of cake for me,

But my fortune still awaits under a lovely paradise tree.....

Life may bring up consequences weakening me in my expertise area,

But my aims will find their way one day bringing me the news of euphoria,

I will not remain mundane anymore as my hardships will bear fruit,

My efforts will not go in vain, passion will be my profession's root......

The land that was useless is getting greener now,

The birds that usually mourned are joyfully smiling; ohh wow,

The storm of confusion has finally found peace,

The opportunity is resting in my hands that I am about to seize.....
