In Search of Her Own Love

March 17th, 2025

She gave and gave, until she bled,

Her heart left aching, words unsaid.

She held on tight, then let them go,

Yet in the end, she felt alone.

One love was distant, out of reach,

A love she begged to hear and see.

Another came with warmth so kind,

Yet still, she felt lost inside.

She ran between the past and now,

A heart confused, yet still so loud.

Torn between the shoulds and musts,

But never learning how to trust.

“I feel like a failure,” she sighed,

“Why can’t I put myself first this time?”

She longed to heal, to be secure,

Yet love’s pull still felt unsure.

She scrolled through pages, seeking light,

Words in English, sharp yet bright.

She drowned in knowledge, chased the wise,

Yet self-love still felt like a lie.

She dreamed of birthdays, chocolate sweet,

A quiet place, a few to meet.

She wanted peace, she wanted rest,

Yet self-love felt like one more test.

But deep inside, beyond the ache,

A voice so small began to wake.

Not from them, not from the past,

But from herself—her love at last.
