Frozen
I back away, slowly, faster, faster
Retreating into my mind
Brain screaming “I’m fine”
When I’m not
Fine
At all.
The tears stream down my face; I’m not sure when I started crying
But I did
And I can’t stop
People say
“Fight or flight”
But what is
This constant state of fear
Of unknowing
Of being unable to control what comes next
This is what I think
As tears coat my face
Salty streams of sadness melt away my skin, leaving me exposed
Vulnerable
Alone

Thats very painful and sad reading.
The poem really gives a sense of feeling overwhelmed.
Courage is seeing the fear and not letting it stop you living your life. Sending lots of courage your way.
