If a tree falls in the forest

...See more with no one around to hear it, does it even make a sound? I am falling, and I cannot seem to know whether I will be heard. I feel so wrong. I feel so lost. I feel so alone. If I fall, will anyone hear? Will I be remembered, or will I be yet another statistic? Will I be missed, or will I be cursed? Will I live on only to shoulder the pain I brought onto others, or will my pain finally be visible? I don't know. I can't know. All I know is, I am drowning. And I don't know if I can save myself.

...See more My Forest I make my way behind the tree My chest begins to heave I lean up close to the bark Curl up, try to breathe I take in my surroundings Try to gauge where I am I’m trying my best not to end up Lost in the woods again I look around The trees are different, but the same Another side of the same old coin There are no people either No one to blame No one to show me the way I try to stand up I feel a branch push me down My breathing quickens Tears begin to well I curl up tight I can’t remember when I fell I’ve been here before Not once, not twice Every choice I make Is a roll of the dice I don’t know how long I’m down I only know I am somehow up again I am walking I am jogging I am trying to find the end But there is no end No end in sight No end ever to be found There’s only me And the forest that grows Enveloping me in it’s sound

...See more Inside My Mind “Welcome to Wonderland” Reads the welcoming sign Beckoning towards a door- No clue what’s inside I take a deep breath Summon courage from below I step forward, and out the other side I need to know Curiosity propels Fear pushes back I’m trapped in limbo No way back I long for my home, My welcoming door That’s when I realize I’ve seen this one before Memories are housed In the darkest of darks Memories encased Waiting for me to embark I am released, I step quickly to the side Turning towards a new door What’s this trying to hide? An endless cacophony Doors quickly appear I turn and I turn As my heart fills with fear Finally I realize It isn’t a test My mind fills with ease My heart begins to rest I look and I look Till I can look no longer But even then I know There will always be another Another door Another memory Another life All of it inside My glorious mind

...See more The Pain Life Brings   The aching of desire Fuels my dainty heart A familiar desire deep in my spire But foreign, an unwanted dart To the chest, hit a bullseye Feel the pain it brings As the fires deep inside Exude only pleasant things But the memories soon forgotten Fade as the dart falls down My tears begin to soak the cotton My mind begins to drown The pain overwhelms The sorrows pull me in There is only one escape in this realm It leaves you hanging limb by limb

...See more Frozen I back away, slowly, faster, faster Retreating into my mind Brain screaming “I’m fine” When I’m not Fine At all. The tears stream down my face; I’m not sure when I started crying But I did And I can’t stop People say “Fight or flight” But what is This constant state of fear Of unknowing Of being unable to control what comes next This is what I think As tears coat my face Salty streams of sadness melt away my skin, leaving me exposed Vulnerable Alone

...See more ; Maybe it doesn’t count But I think it did   Maybe it didn’t work But it changed me   Maybe no one knows But I will always remember   Maybe I’m just making a big deal But it took courage   Maybe I’m just looking for attention But I held it all within   Maybe yours was worse But they both leave scars   Maybe it didn’t work But I thought it would   Maybe I’m still here But something in me is gone

...See more Empathy I am empathetic because I know what it is like to check yourself in every mirror you come across I am empathetic because I know the worry of being heard as you pace back and forth in the dark I am empathetic because I know how hard it is to ignore everyone’s food I am empathetic because I know the sting of stomach acid always tastes better than the food I am empathetic because I know the moment of panic when someone hears you, and you need a way to get out of this   I am empathetic because I know the best way to get bloodstains out of clothes I am empathetic because I know how everything has an edge I am empathetic because I know how  to lie a mark away I am empathetic because I know the panic of someone finding out   I am empathetic because I know what won’t work I am empathetic because I know how bad it gets I am empathetic because I know how a plan can bring comfort I am empathetic because I know how it feels to write a note   I am empathetic because I know the pain I am empathetic because I know what it is like to be so lost   I am empathetic because I have no choice   I am empathetic because I have nothing left
