My inspiration and who can make me feel.

Anne Sexton. A celebrity of confessional poetry. She's my inspiration in several ways in my life as a writer. She had bipolar disorder like it do and poetry was her key to being sane. If I'm full and emotionless reading her work wakes me up. The ability to relate. Empathy is huge. This woman went from being a housewife with to a Pulitzer Prize winner in a few years. The confessional poets really laid it all out there. Sadly Sexton mixed creativity and self destruction up and passed decades ago. You can find videos of her on YouTube. I own her complete works. Her collection The AWFUL Rowing Towards God shows great strength. As a poet with mental illness she keeps me going. I wish my psychiatrist was actively supportive of my writing like hers was. When it comes to writing genres poetry is the best at self expression while also using the fewest words.
