What road will you take
broken by abuse
shattered into pieces from the abuse one went through
what way will you go
yes broken and hurt deeply
but will you go the high road
allow the harm to make you a better person within
allow all that happened to help others
become the voice for them who have no voice
or will you take the low road
turn bitter and become hateful
a heart of stone that does not care about others
even hates self and punishes safe deeply
this leads to hurting others who did not hurt you
what road will you take
this is within your control
up to you what road you will travel on
yes one needs to heal the healing journey is hard
but within it what road will you take
it up to you
for me it the high road I walk on
to use what happened to me
to help others walk beside them on their healing jouney
show love to others and even self
show empathy for others
listen to others even to self
be the hope that holds hope for others
what road will you take
it up to you alone

your welcome i found even as adult at times i end up fearing using my voice as it was not allowed most my life but now it ok to use my voice yes as a child even a adult i was told to say nothing but as adult i feel one needs to take responsibility for for ones healing not just say i helpless due to what they did to me i no longer helpless to change my life so many not get that
