poem - mother
hello.
I looked for a mother in every women.
But none could wear a sacred name.
Curse the meanings of love.
Sat with the ghost of what I'd lost,
And the shadows of what I found.
I am a ghost who only haunts herself.
Hollow reflections of despair.
No comfort reached anywhere, no light stayed.
A warmth that wasn't there,
No arm to cradle me.
No words to love the bare and broken girl.
Her soul still craves the loving embrace.
Starve the soul that drowns beneath the raging sea.
I once looked for a mother in every women.
Never again.
Shall I look for a mother in another women.
No love shall revive the soul.
No warmth shall heal the heart.
Nor tender, nor soft.
No one to love the bare and broken girl.
Dim the light I loved and held dearly.
And thou shall never scream again.
Love her sincerely.
And she shalt never love you back.

I feel this yearning for love in my soul. It is a beautiful poem. It fills me with sadness.
You are worthy of love. You are not too broken for someone, and that's coming from a broken person.
I encourage you to write more! I find poetry kind of therapeutic. Reflection in general. I also selfishly want to learn more from your style >;3
