Hi. I am new here...never tried to reach out for online help. I've struggled intermittently with anxiety since I was a child--now 50. I go years where everything is fine and good, and then my terrorist anxiety highjacks my mind for weeks or months at a time. I had a serious episodes in 2016, 2020, and again now. I'm alarmed it is happening more often. I feel like I've tried everything, and am losing hope. While what I'm worried about currently is serious and not without some truth, it is WAY out of proportion to what it should be, and dominates my every waking thought. I just can't shut it off. I'd be particularly interested in connecting with people who have had similar experiences, at a similar stage in life..feel free to contact me directly, if you think we could be mutually supportive. Depression often follows these anxiety attacks...so far I'm fending it off for now.
